Outgoing VS Shy

Love comes in many forms and very often we are attracted to others who are completely different than us.

Melissa and Chris are such a couple.

As adults these two were quite the scandal of the neighborhood. They uprooted two sets of families to be together. Both were married with children for a very long time till they finally decided to bite the bullet and let love conquer all. Everyone was fine once the dust settled but once real life kicked in to what was once a passionate, hot secret romance, life seemed a bit more… lack luster. After all how could anything compare after living in your very own Danielle Steel novel?

Melissa is very outgoing and active with 7 and 8 points respectively in her personality chart. Her serious side has a penchant for not being as tolerant for those who can’t keep up with her lifestyle. She wants to learn (Knowledge Sim) everything there is about life and while she can keep still when her nose is in a book from studying for hours upon hours, she does tend to get lose within herself and forget everyone around her exists.

Her partner Chris on the other hand, is very prim and proper to family life. She doesn’t mind being active but her 2 points in outgoing tells me she prefers the quite life of home. As a Family Sim, being active is being busy keeping up with cleaning around the house and playing a game of chess (Games as OTH)

This is just one example of opposite personalities. As you play such a couple ask yourself:

How much time do these two Sims spend together? How do you battle independence and quality time? Does the partnership flourish or die do to neglect? How do you find balance and compromise?

You could:

Idea #1- Watch the union dissolve as their interests lead them into separate lives and with other people

Idea #2- Set specific times for interactions like dates, vacations, outings together or even once a week inviting the entire family over for dinner.

Take note: Do your Sims have careers or own a business? If so how do those factor into making time for the relationship.
