Everything Sims 2

Hey guys,

I know a handful of people visit this website daily (thanks web analytics & data!) but, I’m not really sure if anyone realizes exactly what I’ve been doing behind the scenes. I say that because one of the fewest viewed pages are of course the mod creators themselves. But, that being said, is what I’ve focused a lot of my time and energy on.

Back in 2019 when I first developed the concept for listing every known mod for The Sims 2, I had adamantly decided that searching for mods would only be broken down into two functions: by category & the creator themselves. Mods By Creator was meant for people who were more experienced & familiar with mods while Mods By Category were for the casual player. The problem quickly became, as I added more mods into multiple categories, I lost track of where I was placing them. Sometimes I realized that I never listed certain mods at all because I had been stumped on where to categorize it!

Over the last few months, I figured out a way to finally fix this problem. On each mod creators page, instead of just having the mod name & link to the mod itself, I would just add all the categories they are listed in. I decided to also just go ahead and list the mod description too because, why not? Getting through Boiling Oil’s 79 mods was relatively easy/quickly but Cyjon’s 348 as another story, that took months!

I’m still in the process of still going through the rest of the mods and through over 250 pages on this website. What I’m doing is going through the Mods By Category page and linking back each mod to the creator’s page. That way everything flows better so you can hop from page to page at an easier rate without hitting your browsers back button.

I’m still adding more creators and their mods in between all of this because this will be a process/journey that will take several more months. Tonight I’m adding Jordi from Mod The Sims. They have a lot of really great hider mods for CAS that I’m looking forward to putting up.
