Compost bin will now hold 50 units in stead of 30, the rate at which trash is composted has been lowered by 25%, and Compost can now be sold for §5 per unit (§7 if the active sim is a member of the Garden Club). Additionally, the bin’s contents will now be shown in the pie menu. There is also an update which holds double the amount, and works twice as fast. This new bin holds 100 units, and converts a unit of trash to compost once every 4 hours.
2.) Show Contents Of All Compost Bins by Ctfg
This hack extends the display when selecting the compost bin info: It adds up all compost bins on the lot and displays also the total values of composted amount, amount to be composted, and the overall empty space. This shall help to get a quick overview in case the compost bins stand far apart from each other.
3.) More Composting by Cyjon
Causes anyone headed for the outdoor trash can to head for an available compost bin instead. This works for playable sims, maids, or anyone else. Note that only newspapers and trash bags will be redirected to the trash can. Other objects (dishes, baby bottles) headed to the outdoor trash will not be intercepted. This is because the compost bins errors out with these kinds of trash.

Landlords (and other Sims) while gardening and cleaning will no longer try to throw trash into the compost bin located in your or another Sim’s apartment, which they cannot reach because they don’t live there. This previously resulted in trash being thrown all around on the ground in front of the apartment door. Now Sims can only use a compost bin located in their own apartment or in a common area. If you visit another Sim’s apartment, you can use the compost bin located there, but only then.

In the unmodified game, when a Sim disposes of dead flowers, they walk over, pick them up, and go to the nearest garbage can with a trash bag in hand. But if you want to compost them, the Sim walks up, performs a picking up animation, and the flowers magically disappear instantly. With this mod, when composting, the Sim will actually route to the nearest compost bin to dump the dead flowers.
