Sometimes, in the Sims 2, you want to open up a business that doesn’t come with a regular badge such as toys, flowers or robotics. Mods on this page will help you create more unique businesses in your Sims 2 gameplay.
1.) Lower Fish Prices by BoilingOil
This is part 3 of a gardening series by Boiling Oil. This brings the sales prices of Fish down to where the most expensive fish (a mounted Golden Trout) earns you §144 in stead of §691. See link for the rest of the fish prices
2.) SW Fish Packing Station Update by BoilingOil
You still need the original from SimWardrobe With this mod, crates now sell at the following prices:
– Small Bass: $214
– Jumbo Bass: $319
– Small Catfish: $266
– Jumbo Catfish: $400
– Small Trout: $319
– Jumbo Trout: $480
– Golden Trout: $639
3.) Sellable Novels by Kestrellyn
Sim-written novels made in Free Time can be placed on OFB shelves and marked as “for sale” on OFB business lots, creating a convenient way to distribute the novel to the rest of the hood. They cost about the same amount as a regular book sold off of a bookshelf that is marked as for sale, and restock like buy mode items (money disappears from the family funds, new novel appears on the shelf). Unfortunately, when they restock they show up standing upright on their bindings and are all called “Book Title”, however, when they are bought they have the correct title and are functionally equivalent to the original novel (including having the correct contents).
4.) Buyable Soap by Gdayars
A functional version of Gdayas soap bar that uses the sponge bath animations with a bar of soap. Now you can sell said soap from a cloned cologne stand
5.) Buyable Teddy Bear Stand by Gdayars
This is a buyable teddy bear stand. It is found in the shopping/miscellaneous area in the Community catalog for $150. It is also available in residential lots in general/miscellaneous, so you can use it in home businesses.
6.) Fish & Harvest Fix by Pescado
Apartment Life ll Free Time ll Bon Voyage ll Seasons
Fish caught by customers of a business lot fishing area now go to their
inventory instead of the owner’s inventory. Fish caught by employees and family members of the owner of a community lot go to the owner’s inventory.
Fruit and vegetables harvested by family and employees of an owned business go to the owner’s inventory instead of the employee’s inventory.
Ending fishing now works correctly and no longer causes a jerky “skip” with
corresponding minor-sim-reset as if you had deleted his interaction object, and should no longer erase smartness. Autonomous fishing attempts should no longer repeatedly lag the crap from your game.
