1.) Bisexual Influence Fix by Cyjon
Stops influence system from forcing bisexual sims to choose a gender preference. When you use influence on a bisexual sim in an unmodified game, you can direct romance at sims of only one gender. The game looks at the bisexual sim’s gender preferences and picks the higher, populating the influence list with only men or women
2.) Gender Transition Potions by Kestrellyn
The three potions are available from Misc/Misc for $1. The blue one is a testosterone potion for trans male sims, the pink one is an estrogen potion for trans female sims, and the yellow/green one is a debinarization potion for nonbinary sims.
The potions cannot fully transition your sims’ bodies, so there is an initial step that needs to be completed in SimPE first. If you wish to transition the sim’s body, for best results/picture-taking opportunities you should direct your sim to use the potion, save and possibly take a picture when they bend down to pick up the bottle, and then exit the game complete the instructions in this guide written by MTS user LyleSnake (also included for download as a PDF). When you reload the lot, the sim will have the body, hair, and clothing of their preferred gender. (The game does give them more or less completely random clothes, so you may have to send them shopping after the transition.)
3. Gender preference – alternative way to play with by Marhis
This mod slightly alters the way gender preference works in romantic socials, as per the comparison scheme below.
In default behavior, sims will not autonomously do romantic socials unless target sim already has a compatible gender preference.
Example: a gay male sim will not try to flirt with another male sim, even if both are in love each other, unless the target sim is gay or bisexual too.
With this mod, the gay sim will flirt autonomously with target sim, either he’s gay, bisexual or straight. With this mod, crush and love will trigger only in correct gender preference sim.
Example: A gay male sim flirts with a straight male sim, they have relationship score 100/100. In default behavior, both will fall in love – i.e. will have crush and love flags. With mod, only the gay sim will fall in love, while the straight one will not.
4.) Asexual ACR Plugin by Midge The Tree
With this mod, if a sim has an ACR token that has been flagged “No Woohoo Allowed” (one of the options under “Autonomy”) that sim also won’t roll woohoo wants. Mainly meant for playing asexual alloromantic sims, who you want not to roll woohoo wants for their romantic partner(s) (or in general, but depending on the sim’s aspiration you might not have seen very many generic “have woohoo”/”have very first woohoo” wants anyway).
or those who don’t use ACR, or couldn’t upgrade to ACR 2, there is now a trait version of the mod! It can be found in Gen/Misc, and when in a sim’s inventory that sim won’t roll woohoo wants. Choose this OR the plugin, not both! It requires Hexagonal-BiPyramid‘s trait_MAIN.
5.) Gender Pref Allow Wants Fix by Midge The Tree
With this, bi sims can roll romance-related wants for sims of any gender, not just the gender they like best. Also, no more gross double standards where sims need 1+ gender pref for the same gender to roll wants for sims of that gender but 0+ for sims of a different gender, essentially making the assumption that sims who haven’t had their gender preferences set yet are straight. Now they need 1+ no matter what.
