1.) Altered default NPC and townie names – Found in the Text Replacer, Names & Stat Mods Subcategory

This file changes the default list of names for townies and NPCs. It is mainly based on US Census data. It is enabled for both US and UK English (the lists are identical). Note that if you start a new neighbourhood, you will still get all the ‘Goopy Gilscarbo’ etc. names: this is because TS2 imports those names from the default neighbourhood always. To get around this, use the instructions given here to create a 100% clean neighbourhood.

2.) Antipedestrian Garage door (global) – Found in the Car Mods Subcategory

This global mod will change all Maxis garage doors, and prevent all Sims from using them as doors. Only cars will be allowed to pass through them.

3.) Children Wants Mod – Mod is listed under the following categories:
// Alien Mods Subcategory
// Family Mods Category
// Wants Based Mods Subcategory

This mod changes a few of the wants as follows: Have 10 kids –> lowered to 5. It only rolls if the Sim getting the want has at least two children (default one) Be abducted 5 times –> lowered to 2. The icon should still display a 10 or 20, but the text will be correct.

4.) Empty Pets template — No more strays, Critturs and Cyd Roseland in new ‘hoods – Found in the Cleaner Gameplay Mods Subcategory

This replacement package for the Pets template has been stripped of all Sims and Pets. This means that next time you create a new neighbourhood, you will not get the Critturs and Cyd Roseland in your Sim bin, and will also not get the 60+ default strays. Instead, the game will generate random strays as it needs them.

5.) Empty Seasons template — No additional Simbin families, townies, and NPCs – Found in the Cleaner Gameplay Mods Subcategory

This replacement package for the stealth Seasons template has been stripped of all Sims. This means that next time you create a new neighborhood, you will not get the two families in your Sim bin, and will also not get the same new townies and NPCs. Instead, the game will generate random townies or NPCs as it needs them.

6.) Glasses hider – Hide the weird NL, OFB, FFS “glasses” – Found in the Hider’s & Slider Mods Subcategory

This mod will hide the strange “glasses” from CAS and “change appearance”. It does not work with Bodyshop for some reason.

7.) Hide all Maxis clothing & hair– Found in the Hider’s & Slider Mods Subcategory

This mod hides all the default Maxis clothing & hair (+hats) from the game from the catalog. Included are the base game and the expansion packs. You will still be able to use all these clothes and hairstyles in debugging mode of CAS, but not normally or when buying clothes. Also, townies should no longer be able to pick hairstyles & clothes from hidden sets — this means that if you hide everything except the FFS outfits, all townies will only wear FFS clothes.

8.) Hide animal toddler outfits & hats – Found in the Hider’s & Slider Mods Subcategory

This mod hides some of the toddler clothing & hats from the catalog.

9.) Hide “Happy Holiday” clothes and hats – Found in the Hider’s & Slider Mods Subcategory

This mod hides some of the christmas clothing & hats from the catalog. It contains everything from Morague’s Christmas Clothing Hider (which hid all the old Holiday Stuff), as well as the following from the 2006 “Happy Holiday” mini-pack. All the other new items are not hidden. This includes the Father Christmas furcoats, all the “thai” clothes and kimonos, the toddler outfits, the new woman hair, and all the items. If you want to hide EVERYTHING, get HideAllXmas instead.

10.) Hide OFB mascot clothes & hats – Mod is listed under the following categories:
// Hider’s & Slider Mods Subcategory
// University Mods Category

This mod hides all of the OFB mascot clothing & hats

11.) Memory text mod — better text for the undead scholarship and public woohoo – Mod is listed under the following categories:
// Scholarships Mod Subcategory
// Text Replacer, Names & Stat Mod Subcategory
// Vampire Mods Subcategory

This mod changes the text for two memories. The undead scholarship memory now has a new text which is also suitable for vampires. The public woohoo memory now no longer refers to trying on clothes, as you can also get this memory from public woohooing in elevators or photo booths. Additionally there is a modified text for the lifetime want to have 50 first dates: females used to only get “dates, yay!”. Now they get the full text males get.

12.) More standard Pet names – Mod is listed under the following categories:
// Text Replacer, Names & Stat Mods Subcategory
// Pet Mods Subcategory

This file changes the default list of names for pets and strays. There are over a thousand names for both male and female Pets, hopefully this will avoid some of the repetition of names.

13.) No Aging During Party — Don’t lose a day and throw a party! – Mod is listed under the following categories:
// Aging Mods Subcategory
// Holiday & Celebration Mods Category

This mod disables the automatic aging as long as any party is active. This should give you the chance to send or bring the Sim to the birthday cake and have a normal birthday. Aging is also disabled during other types of parties (such as house parties, weddings, etc.). Additionally, the aging transition can now be cancelled (even if you do not throw a party). If you cancel it the transition will return at the next full hour (19:00h) and every full hour following that, until the Sim age transitions. If you do not cancel it the Sim will transition as normal. Elder aging (dying of old age) is not affected by this mod. Pets are also not affected.

14.) No autonomous Seasons outdoor games – Found in the Social Mods Category

This simple mod disables the following autonomous interactions:
Play ball (catch), Snowball fight & Waterballoon Fight. You can still direct Sims to play these games, but they won’t do it autonomously anymore.

15.) Stuff Pack hiders + fixes – Found in the Hider’s & Slider Mods Subcategory

This mod hides some of the strange Shopping Pack (Family Fun Stuff and Glamour Life Stuff) clothing & hats from the catalog. You will still be able to use all these clothes and hairstyles in debugging mode of CAS, but not normally or when buying clothes. And townies won’t get them either.

16.) Teleporter shrub and painting – Mod is listed under the following categories:
//
//

Two teleporter items with additional functions. This version also allows you to turn Sims into downtownies. You can also click on the shrub to move in any visitor, or make any playable Sim a townie or downtownie.

17.) Teleport at will for Sims with max logic – Found in the

It allows any Sim with logic 10 to teleport at will, using the animations from the “meditate” teleport. Your Sims can teleport to any part of the lot, including otherwise unreachable areas.

18.) Throw Party menu fix for UK English players – Mod is listed under the following categories:
// Party Mods Subcategory
// Text Replacer, Names & Stat Mods Subcategory

Ever since Pets, anyone who has either Holiday Pack or Edition (both the 2005 and 2006) ones, and is playing in UK English (the 24-hour clock), has two “Throw Party” menus on the phones: One for all standard parties, and one for the “New Year’s Bash”. The cause is a typo in the Party Pack override package: EA used the ellipsis character “…” instead of three dots: “…”. By placing the attached mod in your game this error is corrected, and you will only have one “Throw Party” menu again.

19.) User Interface mod: UK English corrections (up to Pets only) – Found in the Text Replacer, Names & Stat Mods Subcategory

This mod changes several US English spellings to UK English forms, such as neighborhood -> neighbourhood.
