1.) Better Look Through – Found in the Modded Object Mods Category
When looking through the telescope during the day, a Sim only has the option to “Look Through”, instead of “Stargaze”. This interaction represents the Sim watching a random neighbor. Though watching pretty neighbors is fun (or so they think), there are three elements that annoyed me in the interaction. These are the three features of this mod, no visitor, no gain of logic skill and/or an alternate version.
2.) Better Toilet – Wash Hands and Silent Pee – Found in the Bathroom Mods Subcategory
This is a global mod which improves how toilets are being used in the game.
Going Poop or “Number 2”- In the vanilla game, male Sims decide what need needs to be satisfied based on the bladder motive. If the bladder is less than half full, they go for just a quick pee. However, if the bladder is over half full, they decide to go for a number 2, and thus sit and read the paper. You’re more likely to send your male Sims to pee when they are desperate therefore they will always sit. This changes it to where men will always stand no matter the bladder level and no sim of either gender will read the paper.
Hand Washing- Bringing back a feature from the first Sims game, your Sims will now wash their hands when they are done doing their business, if it fits their personality. Clean Sims will always do it, dirty ones will not. A sink must be available in the same room though, as they won’t search the entire house for one. Sims will skip the sink however if the next queued command implies a bath or shower.
Only When Needed- Consistent with other motives, using a toilet is only available when a Sim’s bladder is about one third full. Who goes to the toilet for just a drop?
Can’t Stop It- Once a Sim has started peeing, the action cannot be cancelled anymore, either from clicking the icon or from a higher level action. If you do cancel it, they will still finish up and flush, but they will skip washing their hands.
Silent- Removes the sound of peeing.
Community Lots- Stalls and urinals, whether on a community lot or at home, work just the same. The urinal doesn’t get dirty over time and flushing it won’t flush any recolour being used. Furthermore, shy Sims won’t shoo other Sims out of the bathroom. Sims are also less likely to collide when trying to pick a urinal at the same time.
3.) Bills Delivered on Mondays and Thursdays – Found in the Finances & Money Mods Category
In TS2, bills are normally delivered Tuesday and Thursday. With this mod, mail is delivered Monday and Thursday, as in TS3. That is, Tuesday was changed for Monday. Thursday is unchanged.
4.) Convenience Store Career – Found in the Custom Careers Subcategory
This career is based on the Business Career in that you don’t climb the stairs of just any business but especially a Convenience Store chain. Salary and promotion requirements are similar (but different). Friends requirement is lowered.
5.) Enhanced Gameplay Cameras – Found in the Camera Mods Subcategory
There are many camera configurations available out there, but none that I (modder Tom Duhamel) liked. Most camera settings available are made for modders, photographers or movie producers. None are very comfortable for the casual player. These camera configurations were tweaked with playability in mind.
6.) Female Impregnation from Alien Abduction – Found in the Alien Mods Subcategory
There are two versions of this mod. One allows only females to become pregnant from alien abduction, while the second one only allows female Sims to become pregnant by alien abduction.
7.) Marriage – No Name Change – Found in the Marriage Mods Subcategory
When two Sims get married, the new couple takes the last name of the Sim who requested the marriage. This mod changes the behavior so that no name change occurs. That is, both Sims will keep their original name. No other change is made to the game.
8.) Pet Years (Pet Age Duration Hack) – Found in the Age & Pregnancy Mods Subcategory
Pet ages are slightly reduced to shorter lives.
Baby = 3 days -> 2 days
Adult = 21-25* -> 14 days
Elder = 5-10 -> 3-5 days
9.) Postponed Silver Years – Found in the Aging Mods Subcategory
This mod extends a Sims adult life by two extra weeks. In a default game an adult Sim has 28 days or 4 weeks. With this mod, Sims now have 42 days or 6 weeks.
For elders in a default game a Sim can live anywhere from 8 to 30 days. With this mods, the elders life state changes from 3-14 days.
10.) Quiet Pregnancy – Found in the Pregnancy & Fertility Mods Subcategory
This mod comes in two parts.
1- Removes the sound of the jingle when Sims become pregnant.
2-Your Sim will not stop her activities to look at the sudden growth of her belly. She will also not try and grab your attention for that event and the camera will not zoom in on her. Most importantly, she will not wake up in the middle of the night just because she is showing. In fact, she will not interrupt any task at all.
11.)Write Novel: No Genre Dialog – Found in the Writing Mods Category
Starting with Free Time, when writing a novel on the computer, you are prompted to select a genre by selecting a cover and a set of images for making up the plot. This mod skips that dialog, and returns the feature pretty much as it was before Free Time. When you receive your book, it will have the generic cover.
