Everything Sims 2

This is a small autonomy mod for The Sims 2 Apartment Life that allows Sims to autonomously use mirrors to practice Charisma. Sims will decide on their own to use a mirror for Charisma-building, and the likelihood is influenced by their Outgoing/Extrovert personality score. More outgoing Sims are more likely to choose the interaction.

This mod does three things.

One: It reduces how often Sims autonomously perform the three Bon Voyage vacation gestures: Bow, Chest Pound, and Hang Loose.
Two: Instead of Sims constantly using these gestures once they’ve learned them, the mod adds a personality-based chance to whether they’ll choose to perform them autonomously:

Bow is influenced by the Sim’s Nice personality.
Chest Pound is influenced by the Sim’s Active personality.
Hang Loose is influenced by the Sim’s Outgoing personality.

Three: The mod also keeps each gesture associated with its appropriate vacation destination. Bow can only be done in the Far East. Chest Pound only in the Mountains and Hang Loose only on a Tropical Island.

Sims can still learn and use the vacation gestures; this mod doesn’t remove them. It primarily tones down their autonomous use so they don’t take over Sims’ social interactions after being learned.

Reduces excessive autonomous Sea Chanty singing by making it depend on a Sim’s Playfulness and Outgoing personality. Playful, outgoing Sims are more likely to sing Sea Chanties on their own, while serious or shy Sims are less likely to do so.

Makes autonomous Classic Dance more selective, mainly allowing nice, very outgoing Sims to occasionally initiate it with appropriate partners.

So for autonomous classic dancing, the Sim appears to need to be:
– fairly Nice
– very Outgoing
– and then pass a 30% random chance

That means it prevents just any Sim from autonomously classic dancing. It mostly allows very social, pleasant Sims to initiate it sometimes.

This mod re-enables the secret handshake greeting that was gone from Nightlife and later EPs. Apparently, Maxis replaced the secret handshake with the “euro kiss” (kiss on each cheek).

Normally, both Sims only need to have a daily relationship score of 50-70 to do the secret handshake, but since the requirement is very similar to the euro kiss greeting, I decided to add other requirements:
– The initiator needs to have more than 5 Outgoing points
-The initiator needs to have more than 3 Playful points

If all the requirements are met, Sims will do the secret handshake. If not, they will do any other appropriate greeting depending of their relationship.

In the unmodified game, sims with 9 or 10 outgoing points, who are not there to deliver a date gift or as a normal walkby, and who are friends of a member of the household, will automatically invite themselves into your house. For some reason, the game seems to sometimes spawn household friends as visitors who will come and ring your doorbell. Unfortunately, when it does this with outgoing sims, they just walk into your house uninvited. In some cases I’ve said goodbye to these sims over and over only for them to immediately spawn again and once again enter the house without an invitation! This hack makes it so that outgoing sims will have to wait to be greeted just like everyone else. Note that this also applies to sims you intentionally invited over.

The probability a sim brings friends home from work or school depends on his/her personality and a fixed probability value. If the sim is 0 or 1 points shy, will almost never bring friends home, and the overall probability is not very high (25% from work and 35% from school). These two hacks raise these probability values to 75% for all sims with 2 or more points in outgoing personality. Your sims will bring friends home almost every day; notice that any household member will be affected, till the “maximum visiting sims” limit, so you have to consider also this, in your calculations. The default limit should be 4, unless you’ve raised it already with some hack or cheat code.

Sims already can autonomously dance to live music from every instrument except the violin, they just prefer to watch. This mod makes which action they prefer to do should be dependent on how outgoing they are (outgoing sims prefer to dance, shy sims prefer to just watch).

Outgoing sims will no longer shriek when they see other sims naked.

This mod makes all outgoing sims change to casual clothes before going out in public.

This mod prevents all sims from reacting shocked when they see naked sims.

This mod stops all sims with an outgoing personality of 5 or more from shooing sims for privacy.
