1.) Class Start BCONs by Ancient Highway

ClassStartBCONs is a support package for Ancient Highway’s Young Adult career conversions. The mod replaces the Start Hour tuning tables used by each base-game career, assigning custom class schedules that determine when career-related classes begin throughout the day. By spreading class start times between roughly 8 AM and noon and giving each career its own timetable, the mod helps prevent scheduling conflicts and creates more distinct university-style schedules for Young Adults pursuing converted careers. The mod does not alter pay, promotion requirements, work days, chance cards, or career rewards; it only changes the timing of career class sessions.

2) Harder Grades/ Classes by Ancient Highway

Alters the way University class attendance affects academic performance. Instead of awarding simple grade increases, the mod uses semester-specific calculations and mood checks to determine how much progress a student earns from attending class. Higher grades become more difficult to maintain, making regular attendance and good mood management more important throughout the semester. Designed to complement other Harder Grades components such as Professor and Term Paper Required.

3.) Harder Grades + Term Required by Ancient Highway

These are part of Ancient Highway’s set of University difficulty mods, which were designed to make getting a 4.0 GPA feel like an achievement rather than something nearly every Young Adult can accomplish.

There were actually several related mods:
1.) Harder Grades – Class
2.) Harder Grades – Term Required
3.) Harder Grades – Professor

1 – Class: What it does is reduces how much the class performance meter increases from attending class, completing assignments and conducting college research. The increase to the performance bar becomes much smaller than in the vanilla game. A Sim can no longer coast to a 4.0 just by showing up and doing the minimum required work. Missing a few classes or slacking off can have a much bigger impact because performance rises so slowly.

2 – Term Required: This one specifically targets term papers. A Sim can often ignore the term paper and still graduate with excellent grades. Harder Grades – Term Required changes that. What it does is makes the term paper effectively mandatory for top academic performance. Sims who don’t complete their term paper suffer a penalty to their grade performance. Adds a possibility of failing the final exam even if the Sim was otherwise doing reasonably well. The goal is to make term papers function more like a real major academic requirement instead of an optional bonus activity.

The random failure feature
One interesting feature reported by longtime users is that Term Required can introduce a chance of failing the final exam. This means even good students aren’t guaranteed perfect success. University feels less deterministic. And academic outcomes have some uncertainty.

4.) Later Classes by Cyjon

Moves all morning university classes later in the day so no class starts before noon.

5.) No Finals Warning by Cyjon

Suppresses the “finals in 5 hours” warning.

6.) Revised Majors by Cyjon

All the university majors have been revised so that they are actually relevant to careers. This mod works fine with the existing semester system but works even better with Cyjons Semester Changes. Each major is built around the idea of a “core skill”. This is the only skill you need to study if you want to get passing grades. Other skills allow you to get better grades but are not required.

7.) Semester Changes by Cyjon

Substantially changes how the university works so it is more bearable and closer to being on the same schedule as the rest of the sims in your game. Each final now covers a year instead of a semester and these academic years are two game days long. This means the entire university experience covers only 8 days instead of 24. Finals are given at 9 am every other day (4 am for vampires).

8.) Faster University Education mod by Dave Luv

With this mod, your young adults will finish their college education faster – one semester will take 2 days (48 hours) instead of 72 hours.

9.) Dean’s List Memory Grammar Fix by Menaceman44

This package fixes a grammar mistake in the “Made Dean’s List” University memory. Instead of reading “What a achievement…” it will now correctly read “What an achievement…”.

10.) Final Fix-NLp2 by Pescado
OFB ll Nightlife

Sims will no longer “miss final exam” if final exam happens to occur around
class time.

11.) Run To Class by Pescado
Apartment Life ll Free Time ll Bon Voyage ll Seasons ll Pets ll OFB ll Nightlife ll University

Active sims who have “run here” automatically run to class instead of walking.

12.) No Finals At Night by TwoJeffs

No more Final Exams in the middle of the night. If a final was scheduled to start between the hours of 9:00pm to 7:00am it will be rescheduled to begin at 8:00am. The appropiate number of hours will be added to the sims final timer. Note: This will happen ONLY at the 5 hour to go mark (same time you get the regular final exam warning). If you use a hack to change the time ’till final to less than 5 hours, the final will happen normally, even at 2am. This hack should also stop non young adult sims who may be living on campus from getting the ‘class in one hour’ notifications.
