Have you ever wished for a certain function or feature for your Sims while playing The Sims 2 but can’t seem to find one? Do you have no idea who you can ask as nearly every mod creator has closed requests? That’s what this series is about. Here I am putting ideas for game features that I’d love to see but have no idea how to make myself. I have no idea if anyone will ever read these or know how to create them but one can only hope of putting the ideas out into the void and someone with the knowledge and know how also think, that would be neat!
Mod Request #1- More Objects As Fridges
I strongly dislike how kitchens are setup in The Sims 2.
1.) Functional pantries and cupboards– I keep so much more dry good food in my pantries than I care to admit. To avoid a Sim pulling dairy or cold items out of a cupboard, I’d love to see even just “have a snack” option of chips, cookies, soda to use.
2.) Deco Items Functional Food- Boxes of cereal to label “make cereal” or pots and pans as “cook mac and cheese” or “cook spaghetti”. Even if the animations didn’t appear
3.) Other Places To Get Food- So I used to hide candy and chips in my dresser drawers as a kid for “snacks.” I’d love for a sneaky chubby kid have that option to dig into the bottom drawer of their dresser to access the snacks interaction.
4.) Any Sim who has the 3t2 Traits Project– If a Sim has the insane trait, they are more likely to pick up random deco objects and put them in the fridge. They’d occupy a slot as if it were fish or produce but not actually do anything such as eat it.
