Sell food, clothing, magazine racks, and such from a home business. Changes the objects themselves and will have a custom content star next to it but their are instructions in the link on how to get around that if it bothers you.
2.) Stay Late by BoilingOil
On residential lots this mod allows non-residents to stay longer as such.
– Vampires will stay around until 5 AM. Then they split in order to be home before dawn.
– Townie Children who have NOT been invited to sleep-over, leave after 8 PM.
– Playable children who have NOT been invited to sleep over, will be picked up by their parents as usual. If the parent(s) came with the children, the whole family leaves, unless they’ve all been invited to stay. (*)
– Anyone else who has NOT been invited to stay the night, leaves when all residents are asleep.
– Anyone who HAS been invited to stay the night or to sleep-over, will ONLY leave if they’re in motive distress and can NOT resolve it as guests on the current lot.
– If there’s a home business, and the shop is currently open, teens and older visitors may stay or go as they please.
3.) Build/buy mode enabler by Cathair2005
This hack enables you to enter build or buy mode whilst downtown as a visitor or when you are driving the car.
4.) Community Party by Cathair2005
This item makes it possible for you to use your cellphone and throw parties on community lots.
5.) Buy Juices on Community Lots by Cedrigo
This mod improves the juicer from Seasons, allowing sims to buy all types of juices on community lots. You can put an empty juicer on any community lot. Once you visit the lot with your sims, use the option “Choose the Menu” to automatically fill the juicer with produces. This will add all the fruits and veggies needed to make every recipes. You can also choose to include or exclude pureed boot from the menu.
6.) Charge Harvest on Community Lots by Cedrigo
This mod modifies how the sims harvest produce/fruit on community lots. Instead of “stealing” fruits and vegetables, they will be charged a small price for what they take. The cost of produce is based on the price you get when you sell produce while harvesting at home. If you use a mod that modifies the price or yield, my mod will also use those new values. To use this mod, you’ll need a community lot with harvestable trees or plants, like Aixlachaise’s Community Garden that you can find here. Or just make your own.
7.) Lot Unsticker by Cyjon
Sometimes when a sim goes to an owned community business lot, Live Mode is locked out and the player can only build or exit. The only way to rescue the lot is to sell the business. The Lot Unsticker is an object that may be able to re-activate Live Mode. This will fix only owned businesses on community lots. If you manage to get another type of lot stuck, say by making the only sim on the lot unselectable, then this mod can’t help. If you use this mod incorrectly you can make the situation worse, and even break the residential lot the owner lives on so you have to move out and sell the business. This is a very experimental mod. Don’t use it if you don’t know how to back up your neighborhood or if you aren’t comfortable messing with technical stuff. There is no guarantee it will fix your problem.
8.) No Community Stock Market by Cyjon
Sims who have the Investing aspiration benefit will no longer get stock market results while on community lots.
9.) Allow puppy kitten toddler riders by Dickhurt
This hack will add Puppies, Kittens, and Toddlers to the list of available passengers when you call a taxi or choose to drive an owned vehicle. Puppies, Kittens, and Toddlers also move very very very slowly, so it might take a while for them to travel to the vehicle to get in!
10.) Allow strays on community lots by Dickhurt
This hack re-enables stray pets to be allowed to visit all community lots, just like it was in the original unpatched Pets Expansion. Before Pets patch #2 or #3 (and also Bon Voyage & FreeTime), stray animals would show up on all community lots. This gives you more chances and more time to interact with animals that you might like to adopt. Usually a different stray will appear when you move around from one community lot to a different one. So, this “lot hopping” from one lot to another also gives you more chances to find a specific stray that you might be looking for.
11.) Community lot normal speed arrival by Dickhurt
Forces the game to stay at normal speed upon arrival at the destination community lot. An added bonus is that you get to actually see the beautifully smooth animations of the vehicle arriving on the screen and traveling toward the phone booth. Rather than it all flying by over the course of 1-second with jerky animations at 3x speed.
12.) Do not leave without me by Dickhurt
A game code glitch makes an owned vehicle (and possibly a taxi too) leave before all of the passengers have gotten in. This hack forces the vehicle to wait until every last one of the passengers has entered the departing vehicle.
13.) No babysitter needed for community lot travel by Dickhurt
Allows travel to community lots without requiring a baby sitter (nanny) to watch your toddlers and babies.
14.) Taxi charges money by Dickhurt
Riding a taxi will now cost you Simoleons for each trip you take. The amount charged will vary based on which cost MOD you are using. The charge is usually either related to the distance between the source & destination lots or is a flat rate fee for each trip. You must download a “cost MOD” or else the hack will have no effect and just cause an error preventing you from riding any taxi!
15.) OFB Sleep on Community Lots (discontinued) by Echo
This hack allows user controlled sims to sleep on beds placed on a community lots same as at home. Visitors to the lots (both community and home) should also be able to autonomously sleep in the beds, which is good for all the OFB hotel makers. The mod is currently discontinued/not updated as there are other mods similar to this that are updated.
16.) Children and teens use communal showers by Kestrellyn
You might have noticed that if you try to get children and teens to use communal showers together (or with adults) people will get shooed even though the shower is supposedly communal. This changes it to allow everyone to use the communal shower as a communal shower.
17.) Less attractive vending machines by Kestrellyn
Removes the “Browse” interaction for vending machines on non-business lots. Now sims will no longer get pulled into the vending machine singularity. Note that the “Browse” interaction was only available to sims acting autonomously. Its removal does not prevent you from directing your selected sim to “Buy” something from the vending machine. With the removal of “Browse”, autonomous sims will also use the “Buy” interaction, which involves them approaching the vending machine with confidence and purpose, immediately buying something from it, consuming it, and then being free to do something else, maybe even interacting with your playables. This hack also does not affect the interactions that vending machines have on business lots, where sims will continue to be able to autonomously browse them just like they can browse any other item that is set for sale.
18.) Nukem Reggae Wall Speaker Catalogue Correction by Menaceman44
This little fix is so that the Reggae community speaker is now listed as such and not the “Bubblegum Sugar” Pop speaker instead. The text is in the game files but just doesn’t seem to show up.
19.) Playables Don’t Clean Plates On Community Lots by Midge The Tree
Playable sims trying to clean up everyone’s plates in restaurants and parks w/ barbecues if left alone. Now playable sims can only clean plates autonomously on livable lots (dorms/apartments/residential lots/greek houses) or businesses owned by the active family.
20.) Apartments and Shopping, on the same Lot! by MogHughson
You can now build a combo-lot, one that is residential (specifically apartments) but with a community lot flavor too. The lot will be an apartment lot when you make it, not a community lot, so you cannot send Sims to it like a community lot. This mod will spawn the required NPCs for objects, for example, a Clerk to manage a cash register. This mod does not spawn additional visitors, as with your neighbors, the landlord/lady and walk-bys there will be quite enough people on the lot as it is.
