Shows all available skills for a Sim that are behind the scenes as hidden. These skills are dancing, homework, meditate, painting, pool, romance, writing, gender preference, age days left, job promotion level, and school grades
7.) Education Bookcase Fix by Cyjon
Sims studying skills from the Education bookcase will stick with the activity longer. The Education bookcase allows studying additional skills (Creativity, etc.) which aren’t available to normal bookcases. EA forgot to update the Education bookcase to consider those skills as skills, so the game will consider these studies to be fun activities which makes it hard to keep sims from quitting if motives get a little low.
8.) Modular Synth Fix by Cyjon
The modular synth is now treated as a skill object, as it should be, rather than a fun object.
9.) Study All Skills From Books by Midge The Tree
All 7 skills can be studied from all bookcases, not just the education career reward – although you’ll still need the education career reward to get that fast skilling rate. There’s also a version that is compatible with mrclopes’s read books autonomously if it loads after. There are versions of this mod that make studying cleaning build science instead of nature, based off of gummilutt’s mod.
10.) Hacked BOOKCASE to learn more skills by Monique
This is a global hacked bookcase that allows your sims to learn other skills from a book. This hack applies only to all default bookcases.
11.) Hacked Book to learn more skills and Buyable Book by Monique
This is a global hacked book that allows your sims to learn other skills from a book.
12.) No Autonomous Hacks by Monique
Monique’s “No Autonomous Hacks” for The Sims 2 isn’t just one mod—it’s actually a bundle of small, separate hacks that all do the same type of thing:
👉 They stop Sims from doing specific actions on their own (autonomously)—but still let you choose those actions manually.
🎮 1. Skill & activity spam blockers
These stop Sims from obsessively doing the same activities when they don’t need to.
❌ No autonomous chess playing (if Logic is maxed + Fun is already high)
❌ No autonomous instrument playing (if Creativity is maxed + Fun is high)
❌ No autonomous poker playing
❌ No autonomous swing set use
👉 These are often conditional:
Only blocked if Fun > 50% Or if the skill is already maxed
❄️ 2. “Pointless fun” behavior control (Seasons stuff)
These stop Sims from doing chaotic or repetitive fun interactions:
❌ Snowball fights ❌ Water balloon fights ❌ Playing catch
❌ Splashing in puddles ❌ Dancing on toes
👉 Again, usually disabled when Fun is already satisfied
🎯 3. Logic-based autonomy limits
Sims won’t autonomously do an activity if they’ve already “outgrown” it
Max skill → stop spamming it
High fun → stop seeking more fun
👉 It’s not just “off”—it’s conditional autonomy
🧩 4. Fully optional modular design
Monique intentionally: Split everything into separate files. Install ONLY what annoys you
13.) Sell Skills to Grim Reaper by Monique
A cloned from Resurrect-O-Nomitron that allows you to “sell skills” (one point or all points). That way your Sims can still continue to gain skill points after reaching maxed level.
14.) Comm Skilling by Pescado
Apartment Life ll Free Time ll Bon Voyage ll Seasons ll Pets ll OFB
Controlled sims, NPCs, and townies may gain skills while visiting community
lots, including non-college community lots. Notifications of skill-point gain
will only be displayed for controllable sims. Enthusiasm may now be gained on community lots and while visiting. Fixes Physiology Borkedness in AL. Rep may now be gained both on and off community lots
15.) Community Lot Skilling by Squinge
Nightlife ll Open For Business ll FreeTime
This mod allows all sims to gain skills on all lots.
16.) Skilling While In A Bad Mood by Squinge
This prevents all sims from refusing to use skill objects even if they are in a bad mood.
17.) Study Skills Faster From Books by Squinge
This mod will boost the speed of skill studying with normal, non-traditional and special skills on the regular bookcases and the career reward bookcase (with the Golden Book attached to the top). The Sims will spend around an hour or two gaining the first 4 skill points individually. At around the 4th skill point, it takes slightly longer and then thereon, with each skill point gained, the Sim will spend a bit more time, BUT they won’t take forever to gain all 10 skill points in a given normal skill such as Cooking, Cleaning and Mechanical.
18.) Book of Talent by Treeag
A static item in the shape of a old book that can teach your Sim every skill and badge, including toddler skills.
