It’s a great place to learn more about Arts & Crafts. If you continue to get better you may receive a membership card. Keep up the good work!”
B- Hobby magazine subscription (FT) “If you would like to subscribe at a later time please feel free to give us a call.”, “Hello! You have been selected to try out our new magazine. Would you like to subscribe to the Arts and Crafts magazine?”
1.) Hobby Age Limits by Cyjon
Limits maximum hobby enthusiasm by age. Toddlers are limited to an enthusiasm of 2, children 4, and teens 6. Everyone else gets the normal limit of 10. Among other things, this prevents the problem of sims getting high enthusiasm as children and not being given hobby lot memberships, which are given only to teens or older.
2.) Hobby Friend Sanity by Cyjon
Fixes the “child bringing creepy old man home from school” issue. Sims who bring home friends due to hobby cards will bring only sims of the same age group. If nobody of the right enthusiasm can be found, it will force a townie to have the appropriate hobby.
3.) No Effects by Cyjon
Removes several of the game’s visual effects such as floating notes by stereos.
-Zone eliminates the glow and sound from being in The Zone.
-DJBooths eliminates visual effects for DJ booths. It affects EA booths only, not custom DJ booths. This is separate from Stereo because it uses a different technique. You must also get DJ Booth Fixes for this piece to work. If you should remove this particular piece of the mod, you’ll need to sell and rebuy all your DJ booths to get visual effects back.
-Stereo eliminates the floating musical notes and speaker vibrations from all stereos (including custom ones), the karaoke machine, and the modular synth.
4.) No Hobby Animations by Cyjon
Gets rid of all the hobby idle animations like dance stretches or stomach rubbing.
5.) No Hobby Plaque by Cyjon
Sims no longer get hobby plaques when maxing out enthusiasm.
6.) School Hobby Friend Fix by Cyjon
Fixes broken school-hobby friend system. Children and teens get hobby cards that say they will bring home friends from school, and then come home alone because EA never added the hobby friend check. This fixes that.
7.) Townie Enthusiasm Seeder by Cyjon
Seeds townies with initial enthusiasm.
When a new sim is created, the game initializes hobby enthusiasm. This involved picking the One True Hobby and if the sim is not a playable sim creating initial enthusiasm levels. If you create sims in CAS and then convert them to townies, they will have enthusiasm of 0 in all hobbies and will be unavailable as hobby friends and possibly for some other hobby functions.
This mod finds townies and NPCs with 0 enthusiasm and marks them to be reinitialized. The change doesn’t happen right away, but over time it will slowly seed townies with appropriate enthusiasm.
8.) Hobby Lot Visitors Fix by Lamare
Fixes a few things about uncontrolled visitors the game generates on hobby lots:
– sims that do not have a membership card get it and receive a memory of it as long as they have 5+ enthusiasm
– sims from the current family that were supposed to be left at home can’t visit
– sims from the family bin can’t visit
– vampires can only arrive from 9 pm to 5 am
– with “MORE” version there are more visitors to hobby lots: 5-10 sims at the start + a 50% chance of 1-3 new visitors every hour, up to 15 in total.
It only applies to uncontrolled sims who arrive to hobby lots naturally, one or two sims at a time. Therefore the membership aspect’s effect on the neighborhood will be gradual and depend on how often you visit the lots.
9.) Hobby Chance Card Promotion Fix by Lenna9
In the unmodified game, when a Sim is promoted due to a hobby chance card while already at career level 10, the game throws an error and resets the Sim. This has been fixed, now Sims cannot get promoted if they are already at the top of the career.

Unfortunately, hobby chance cards in the unmodified game are broken as hell. In many cases, the result you get is something completely different from what the card says. For example, a card might say your Sim gains hobby enthusiasm but actually grants a promotion.
11.) No Hobby Instructors Regen by Midge The Tree
When your sims gain enough enthusiasm to earn a plaque/membership the pop-up alerting you to your sim’s new plaque/membership will still appear, but the instructor won’t barge onto your lot and if there are no existing hobby instructors in the appropriate hobby none will be generated. Hobby instructors should still be generated in instructor-less neighborhoods upon loading their hobby lots. Must load after Pescado’s nohobbyspam, but otherwise the two should play nicely together.

14.) Proper Hobby Enthusiasm for Decorative Items by Richifrog
Decorative items (paintings and sculptures) build proper “Hobby Enthusiasm” when viewed, for example cereal box builds “Cuisine Enthusiasm” instead of “Arts & Crafts”.
15.) No Loosing Enthusiasm Messages by Squinge
This mod prevents the loosing Enthusiasm messages from popping up.
