This page are for mods in the Sims 2 related to the other kind of badges a Sim can earn. A Sim can create craftables such as tinkering, toys, pottery and sewing or hone in on their business skills such as sales, restocking and cashiering. Mods on this page are in relation to fishing, gardening and cosmetology.

1.) More sensible badge gain by Gummilutt

In Maxis code, it takes an exponential amount of makeovers to increase badge level. With no badge, it takes 12 makeovers to get a bronze badge. It then takes nearly three times as many for the silver (31), and almost six times as many for the gold (66).

This is a global mod that increases the gain from each makeover, so that Sims don’t have to give quite as many to get a gold badge. It comes in two varieties. Both versions cut the required number of makeovers down to one third of the original 111. Only use one version.

2.) Badge Gain Notification Fix by Lenna9

In the unmodified game, when a Sim gains a badge on a non-residential lot, you will not receive any notification about it. This means that, for example, that when your Sim gains a badge while living in a dormitory, you may not even know about it. This mod fixes that.

3.) NPC Gardeners Have Gold Gardening Badge by Mike1102

Fixes a code with Maxis’s gardener NPC’s only having a bronze talent badge no matter how many times you fix it. A second version of this mod makes it so the skill badge can be changed intermittently as desired.

4.) Customers Always Stay After Makeover by Squinge

This mod prevents sims from leaving your shop after their makeover is finished.
