1.) Abduction Reaction Fix – Found in the Alien Mods Subcategory

Have you ever noticed how when someone is abducted, all the sims in the house are woken up, queuestomped, and then left to their own autonomous devices rather than given something sensible to do? Prior to Free Time, when sims were actually directed to go to the telescope and make worried/distressed animations, sort of like what happens when someone returns from an abduction. But Free Time added a lot of new interactions to the telescope, and some BHAVs were renumbered, but the tree table wasn’t properly updated to reference the right BHAVs. So what happens now is that all of the sims in your house are given a token indicating that they’ve discovered a new planet, and… that’s it, actually.

Now the intended BHAV is called and sims go to the telescope and make worryhands. Sims that are asleep are not woken up, and extended the worried animations so that your sims are actually likely to be doing something that makes sense when you return from the very long abduction cinematic. Note that this was made with the cinematic in mind, and if you have it disabled the worryhands animation will probably last a very long time, but you should be able to cancel it like any other interaction. If you don’t like that sims get queuestomped by this interaction, get abductionreactionfix-noqueuestomp instead, which will make it so that only sims who are acting autonomously will be queuestomped and everyone else will continue doing whatever they were doing before.

2.) Apartment Moveout Finance Fixer – Mod is listed under the following categories:
// Apartment Mods Subcategory
// Moving Mods Subcategory

Apartment Life introduced an annoying new problem – when your sims moved out of an apartment, they got a lot of free money, presumably because the game is doing something silly like selling off all the furniture in the apartment when they move out, which doesn’t make sense since that furniture in most cases wasn’t actually paid for by them and thus isn’t theirs to sell. Pescado “fixed” this in his apthack by making your sims pay for all that furniture when they moved into the apartment in the first place. But there are several problems with this fix: 1) it makes it prohibitively expensive to move into an apartment, which sort of defeats the purpose of apartments, 2) if you don’t depreciate everything in the apartment before moving in, you will lose a lot of money, and 3) even if you do depreciate everything in the apartment before you move in, you still lose money because it turns out Pescado miscalculated how much the apartment deposit should be.

With this object installed, when you move out of an apartment, do the following:
– Before moving out, purchase the Apartment Moveout Family Fund Fixer, which costs 0 simoleons, looks like the cute alien poster from Apartment Life and is available from Misc/Misc or from Decorative/Misc.
– Select the “Prepare for moveout” option, which should show you your current family funds. Afterwards it will be disabled and read “Saved family funds” instead. Take note of what this amount is; that is the actual amount of money your sims have to spend on their new house or apartment.
– Move out of the apartment. Your sims will gain a bunch of free money.
– Move into a new house or apartment that costs less than the amount you saved with the family fund fixer.
– Place the family fund fixer again, and select “Restore family funds”, which will set your family funds back to what they should be. This option will show you the amount that it will set your family funds to, which should be the amount you saved, minus the cost of the lot (if you moved into a house) or the rent (if you moved into an apartment). If you spent more than the amount you saved, the option will be disabled and will read “Restore family funds: Negative amount” instead (meaning that if it were to show you the amount, it would be negative, but I don’t actually trust the game to properly display potentially large negative numbers). If you are in a house, you can place mortgage shrubs from SimLogical until the lot is cheap enough that the option is enabled. Or you can just place them before buying the house, as you would normally.

3.) Architecture Chance Card Fix – Found in the Chance Card Mods Subcategory

Due to some EA sloppiness, one of the bad results from the level 7 Architecture career chance card deducts 985,000 Simoleons from family funds instead of just 985. This hack fixes it so that it only deducts 1,000 (it’s not actually possible to lose or gain an amount of money that isn’t a multiple of 1,000 from any chance card for career levels 7+).

4.) Ask visitors for homework help – Found in the Homework Mods Subcategory

With this mod, sims can ask visitors for homework help, and learn to study from them. Additionally, teens can ask for and offer help to/from each other! However, teens do need to already know how to study in order to help someone else study – to get rid of this requirement, download askanyoneforhomeworkhelp-noskillcheck instead. Adults, young adults, and elders can help anyone with homework regardless of whether or not they learned the skill themselves.

5.) Autonomous gift giving at parties – Found in the Party Mods Subcategory

This hack allows sims to autonomously give each other gifts during parties. They will not actually give each other things from their inventories, they will actually purchase a totally new object and give it to the other sim. You can have birthday party style giving, where everyone give gifts to a particular sim, or Christmas party style giving, where everyone gives gifts to everyone else. Moreover, positively received gifts will increase the party score! Rejected gifts will naturally decrease the party score.

6.) Autonomous Have Meal fix for Apartment Life – Mod is listed under the following categories:
// Apartment Mods Subcategory
// Mealtime Mods Subcategory
// Fridge Mods Subcategory

In an attempt to make it so that sims wouldn’t autonomously have a single-serving meal from their apartment neighbors’ refrigerators, EA accidentally made it so that sims wouldn’t autonomously have a single-serving meal from any refrigerator that wasn’t in an apartment. This hack fixes it so that sims can once again autonomously make single-serving meals from non-apartment refrigerators.

7.) Car Woohoo Wants Limits – Found in the Car Mods Subcategory

When you send sims on a date and there is a car on the lot, they always always always want to woohoo in the car, even if there is a perfectly good bed available. As far as I can tell, the only times people actually want to have sex in a car specifically is when a) they are teenagers trying to hide from their parents, b) they’re college dorm-dwellers trying to avoid their roommates, or c) they’re in public and the car is the most private location. In the Sims 2, teens can’t roll woohoo wants of any description, and I don’t think it’s even possible to buy a car on a dorm lot. So, this hack makes it so that sims only roll car woohoo wants when they are on a community lot where there is a car. If you have enabled car woohoo wants for teens in your game, teens should be able to roll those wants on a home lot with a car.

8.) Children and teens use communal showers – Mod is listed under the following categories:
// Community Lot Mods Category
// Hygiene & Water Mods Category

You might have noticed that if you try to get children and teens to use communal showers together (or with adults) people will get shooed even though the shower is supposedly communal. This changes it to allow everyone to use the communal shower as a communal shower.

9.) Claim Painting – Found in the Art/Painting Mods Subcategory

Have you ever had a sim die in the middle of painting an important still life or portrait? With this hack, you can have another sim claim the painting and continue working on it. The original painter does not need to have died in order for the painting to be claimed, but the claiming sim does need to have at least as much creativity as the original painter had when they began the painting. After the painting has been claimed, either by clicking on the painting itself or the easel, options should appear for the claiming sim to continue it.

10.) College Tuition and Student Loans – Found in the University Mods Category

Do your sims have too much money? Do you want to share the joys of student loans with them? Do you already charge them college tuition, but have to keep track of who has paid and who is in debt in a spreadsheet outside of the game? With this hack, the game will charge tuition and track loans for you.

The basic idea: each sim you wish to be responsible for paying tuition is given a token that tracks their college fund, their student loan debt, their tuition rate, and various other things. This is a token you manually assign to particular sims, it is not given out automatically at any point. Sims with a token will be automatically charged tuition at the end of every semester – if the sim has not saved enough money in their college fund to pay for the tuition, it will accumulate as student loan debt. If a sim voluntarily drops out, they will be charged tuition for the semester they didn’t complete. Debt, college funds, and tuition bills are tied to particular sims rather than families, allowing your to better control who gets saddled with the debt.

11.) Extended family treated as family – Found in the Extended Family Mods Category

Do you ever hate how second cousins have no problems dating each other, or how great-grandparents can’t encourage and family-kiss their great-grandchildren? This hack causes the following relationships to be recognized as family for the purposes of social interactions:
– Second cousins (people whose parents are first cousins)
– First cousins once removed (your first cousin’s children, or your parents’ first cousins)
– Great-grandparents and great-grandchildren
– Great-aunts/uncles (your grandparents’ siblings) and grand-nieces/nephews (your siblings’ grandchildren)

12.) Fairy Changelings – Found in the Fairy Mods Subcategory

MidgeTheTree on tumblr made a great fairy lifestate, and released a mod that makes supernatural states (including fairy) hereditary, but this mod adds some improvements to that.

By default, Midge’s hereditary supernatural mod was fairly simple – two humans would always have human children, two fairies would always have fairy children, and a fairy and a human would have a 50/50 chance of either. Also, fairy children became fairies at the toddler stage, which means you could have a weird situation where a human couple puts a baby up for adoption, and then it is adopted by a fairy couple, and when it ages up to toddler it becomes a fairy because its parents are fairies, even though realistically it should be a human. Similarly, there would be issues with using Name the Father to change parentage. This mod fixes these problems, and also makes fairy genetics more interesting – there are now two genes that determine fairy characteristics, which are inherited in a Mendelian fashion just like hair and eye color. The first controls whether the sim has fairy wings. Wings are simply dominant over non-wings, like black hair over red hair. The second gene controls whether the fairy has access to magical abilities, but is more complicated than just being dominant or recessive – sims with two “magic” alleles will have access to all fairy magic, but sims with only one will have access to a smaller pool of less-powerful spells. Which spells they have access to can be configured in Midge’s spell mod (or will be configurable, when it’s updated) – instead of setting the “magical fairies” BCON value to 0 for off or 1 for on, now 0 means no fairies can use the spell, 1 means all fairies with at least some magical ability can use the spell, and 2 means that only fairies with full magical abilities can use the spell. The fairy magicalness gene also controls whether fairies can use pollen cloud pranks (all magical fairies) or talk to plants (only fully magical fairies).

When your sims have babies, with this mod there is a chance that the baby will be replaced by a fairy changeling. When this happens, the game will randomly choose two townies to be the biological parents of the child instead of your sims, and will give the child full fairy genetics. You will also get a dialog popup. Obviously how well this turns out depends on what kind of townies you have in your hood. If you have a low tolerance for “interesting” looking sims, you should probably create your own townies, or install some default face templates that you like.

13.) Fight while pregnant – Found in the Pregnancy & Fertility Mods Subcategory

FFS EA, why do pregnant sims never get to do anything fun? I’m not sure why they made it impossible for pregnant sims who are showing to engage in any of the “Fight…” interactions, either as the attacker or the defender (not even “Poke” and “Slap”!) but I’ve fixed it, and with this hack they can. Also includes Insult, Annoy, and Savage.

14.) Found Family – Found in the Extended Family Mods Category

Do you have sims who are raised by more than two parents, but annoyingly the game does not consider the non-biological parents to be family? Or “siblings” who were raised together but don’t technically share parents, so the game doesn’t mark them as family? Or just sims who are really close and ought to be able to use Family Kiss?

If you have ACR, it partially gives you the ability to fix this, through the Add to the Friend Zone functionality, but the Friend Zone can’t be applied to anyone younger than teen, doesn’t give sims family interactions with each other (like Family Kiss), and doesn’t affect Maxis romantic socials. This new interaction, which shows up as “Treat as Family” or “Remove from Family” depending on family status, will allow you to make the game treat any two sims as if they were family for the purposes of romantic and family socials, even if they’re not otherwise related. It doesn’t change family ties in any way (such as marking the selected sim as a sibling or a cousin), and isn’t commutative (so, adding Sim A to your family does not also add Sim A’s sister, or other sims that Sim A has marked as family, to your family). It can be used on sims of any age, including babies.

You can’t use the “Remove from Family” interaction to disown sims who are considered family by blood or marriage. You can only use it to remove sims who have been added through this hack. If you add a sim through this hack, and then become family with them by blood or marriage (because someone got married, or you changed their family ties with another hack) using “Remove from Family” won’t have any immediate effect until the blood/marriage family tie is removed. If you’re using my extended family hack, extended family is considered family by blood and can’t be removed.

15.) Gender Transition Potions – Found in the Gender & Sexuality Mods Subcategory

The three potions are available from Misc/Misc for $1. The blue one is a testosterone potion for trans male sims, the pink one is an estrogen potion for trans female sims, and the yellow/green one is a debinarization potion for nonbinary sims.

The potions cannot fully transition your sims’ bodies, so there is an initial step that needs to be completed in SimPE first. If you wish to transition the sim’s body, for best results/picture-taking opportunities you should direct your sim to use the potion, save and possibly take a picture when they bend down to pick up the bottle, and then exit the game complete the instructions in this guide written by MTS user LyleSnake (also included for download as a PDF). When you reload the lot, the sim will have the body, hair, and clothing of their preferred gender. (The game does give them more or less completely random clothes, so you may have to send them shopping after the transition.)

16.) Halved Apartment Rent – Found in the Apartment Mods Subcategory

Reduces the amount of rent a Sim would own into half.

17.) Hire anyone in person regardless of relationship – Found in the Open For Business Category

Have you ever tried to hire a particular sim to work at another sim’s business, but discovered that you can’t do that unless your sims have an existing good relationship with each other? This fixes that. Now you can hire anyone in person.

18.) In-laws fix – Found in the Marriage Mods Subcategory

You know how when your sim gets married their parents always try to hit on the new spouse? That is because there is a bug where the new spouse considers the parents family but the parents don’t consider the new spouse family. This fixes it. Also, I made in-law relationships work even if you have polygamous sims.

19.) Kestrellyn’s PregRel compatibility patch – Found in the Pregnancy & Fertility Mods Subcategory

Chris Hatch made a hack called PregRel, which causes sims to react negatively to a significant other’s first pregnancy bump if it indicates cheating and they pass a logic check (3+ logic to tell that it was cheating, 7+ logic to identify the person they cheated with and get mad at them also), or for any pregnancy if the sims are parents of a pregnant teen sim. The pregnant sim would then do a worry interaction if the pregnancy is from cheating, regardless of whether or not any other sims reacted.

Anyway, this hack doesn’t work right with Name the Father, the Surrogate hack, the Sperm Donors hack, ACR jealousy settings, poly relationships, or custom pollination technicians. This patch makes it work right with all that stuff. Added features:
A – Significant others will not be angry if the father of the baby is a custom pollination technician (and the hack will not cause the pollination technician to show up in anyone’s relationship panel)
B – Significant others will not be angry if the pregnancy was caused using the surrogate hack
C – Significant others will not be angry if the pregnancy was caused using the sperm donors hack and they were named as the other parent
D – Significant others will not be angry if the father of the baby or the named other parent is also married/engaged/going steady with the pregnant sim
E – If the pregnant sim has multiple significant others, they all have a chance to be angry, not just the one with the lowest neighbor ID
F – Significant others will not be angry if they ordinarily would not be jealous of the pregnant sim romancing other people due to ACR jealousy settings
G – If none of the pregnant sim’s significant others could logically have caused the pregnancy, they do not need to pass a logic check to find out that the baby isn’t theirs. The original hack only checks if the two sims have woohooed,checks have been added for gender, RCC toggled/untoggled status, RCC alien status, and the RCC global alien token. This won’t work with PregForAllGenders, use the RCC and set the global alien token instead
H – If a significant other would have gotten angry, but failed the logic check, and they could have reasonably gotten the pregnant sim pregnant (see above), and you have Name the Father installed, and the pregnancy was not caused by the sperm donors hack, that significant other will be named as the father using Name the Father, so they will continue to believe the baby is theirs after birth. You can always change this setting manually afterwards, as normal. If more than one significant other fails the logic check, the one with the lowest neighbor ID will be used
I – If the pregnancy was caused by the sperm donors hack, angry parents and significant others will get mad at the second parent you selected and not the sperm donor
J – Angry parents and significant others will not get mad at the father of the baby/second parent if they have never met them and thus have no way of knowing who they are no matter how logical they are
K – Fixed a bug in the original where recent changes to significant others’ logic skills did not count

20.) Kill Visiting Playables – Found in the Life & Death Mods Subcategory

For some reason, EA removed the ability to kill unselectable visiting playables after Seasons. They also neglected to add the BV townies to the list of people who could be killed, so you can’t kill them either. This mod makes it so that you can kill the BV townies, and also unselectable visiting playables unless their family was last saved on an owned community lot (this restriction predates Seasons, so I’m sure there’s probably a good reason for it). The only sims left who can’t be killed should just be the untouchable NPCs and the Hobby Mavens

21.) Less attractive vending machines – Found in the Community Lot Mods Category

Removes the “Browse” interaction for vending machines on non-business lots. Now sims will no longer get pulled into the vending machine singularity. Note that the “Browse” interaction was only available to sims acting autonomously. Its removal does not prevent you from directing your selected sim to “Buy” something from the vending machine. With the removal of “Browse”, autonomous sims will also use the “Buy” interaction, which involves them approaching the vending machine with confidence and purpose, immediately buying something from it, consuming it, and then being free to do something else, maybe even interacting with your playables. This hack also does not affect the interactions that vending machines have on business lots, where sims will continue to be able to autonomously browse them just like they can browse any other item that is set for sale.

22.) Less Picky Toddlers – Found in the Toddler Mods Subcategory

Have you ever wished toddlers would roll wants not just for their biological parents, but also for their grandparents, or older siblings, other family members who live on the lot, or even just that they would roll want that could be satisfied by anyone? It’s silly that the toddler can only be appeased by one single sim, who might very well be busy tending to their own needs or aspiration. Only when both parents are off-lot do toddlers start rolling wants that anyone can satisfy. In the game as-is, if you want a toddler that lives with their parents to maintain good aspiration, you pretty much always wind up with the parents being BFFs with the toddler by the time they age up. What if you wanted a sim who isn’t that close with their parents (like some premade teens aren’t), but is instead much closer to their uncle? You have to basically ignore all of the toddler’s social interaction wants.

With this hack, toddlers never roll these wants targeting particular sims – they always roll generic wants that can be satisfied by anyone. The wants that are modified are be snuggled, be tickled, be played with, and be read to. The evenlesspickytoddlers version includes all of those wants and additionally also the be talked to and sing the nursery rhyme wants, but I’ve included that as a secondary option because in my testing it appeared that including those wants just prevented toddlers from rolling them at all. This hack should not affect children rolling wants to be read to by other sims, or older sims rolling wants to interact with particular toddlers.

23.) Marco Polo Fix – Found in the Pool Mods Subcategory

This hack stops playing Marco Polo from sometimes causing sims to roll wants to befriend themselves (and possibly other wants involving interacting socially with themselves). It will not fix sims who have already played Marco Polo, but will prevent this from happening to sims who play Marco Polo in the future.

24.) “Met New Great-Grandchild” memory – Found in the Extended Family Mods Category

I guess EA never imagined sims would live to see their great-grandchildren (even though they gave us resurrection and vampires and elixir of life!). With this hack, sims will get a custom memory when they have great-grandchildren, similar to the one they get when they have grandchildren.

25.) More sensible “Can my friend come over, too?” – Found in the Friendship Mods Subcategory

You know how when you invite sims to come over, they sometimes say “can my friend come, too?” and then if you say yes they show up with someone else? In theory, it’s great when the person you invited brings one of their friends over, because then you can maybe introduce someone new to the rest of your family and maybe it’s someone you want to build relationships with. But in practice it is terrible, because the invited sim always brings over really inappropriate people, like their mother, or their professor, or a teenage townie they haven’t talked to in 30 sim years, or a dormie they used to date in college. And since the game doesn’t tell you who they’re inviting, you never know when you should be saying no.

With this hack, there are some restrictions on who can be invited over in this manner.
– The “friend” must be in the same age stage as the invited sim. For this purpose, young adults are not the same age stage as adults. No more bringing your professor with you to do bubble at the frat house! If you’re still friends with your professor after you’ve graduated, you are free to invite them over to engage in normal adult socializing, as long as they aren’t old enough to be your mother.
– Under no circumstances will sims invite their parents over, even if they are the same age stage.
– This includes the logic improvement from phonehack, wherein the friend is required to actually be friends with the invitee, and not just some rando who merely doesn’t hate their guts.

In addition to these requirements, the dialog will now tell you the first name of the “friend”, such as “Can my friend Joe come over, too?” That way, if they’ve still manage to choose someone unsuitable, or if they are trying to invite their spouse to their extramarital affair or something, you can be sure to say no.

26.) Name the Father – Found in the Baby Mods Subcategory

Have you ever thought it was weird that when your female sims cheat on their partners and get pregnant, their partner always knows that the child isn’t theirs? Have you ever wanted your sims to be able to adopt their spouses’ alien children? Do you get annoyed that all aliens are somehow considered related? Would you like your lesbians to be able to adopt their partners’ babies by sperm doners? Or do your sims maybe have multiple spouses and you just want the biological parent to not necessarily be the “real” parent? Would you like to have two sims who are merely best friends live together and raise kids together even if the kids are not biologically related to both of them? Sure, you can change the family ties with the Sim Blender after the fact, but wouldn’t you like to get to choose which sim gets the memory of having the baby and the Have a Baby want fulfilled? With this hack you can do all of those things!

This adds a self interaction to pregnant sims who are showing, which allows you to choose a father for the bab(ies). This will not affect the genetics of the babies, but only which sim they consider their father. You will get a choice from the following sims:
– Sims who are in a committed relationship with the pregnant sim. This includes marriage, engagement, or going steady. Any sim with these flags will be included, no matter how many of them there are.
– Sims the pregnant sim is in love with (but not necessarily vice versa).
– Sims the pregnant sim has a memory of woohooing (in private or in public).
– Sims of the proper age who live with the pregnant sim but are not related to them. (“The proper age” depends on which version of the social plugin you install.)

You can also select “No Character” for a baby with no father (similar to a plantbaby), or “Biological Father” to revert your setting back to the default. When the sim gives birth, the father (or lack of father) you chose will be the child’s second parent, but they will have the genetics of the biological father.

27.) No Adoption Memory Loss – Found in the Adoption Mods Subcategory

This hack does two things: Allow children adopted from the adoption pool to retain their pre-adoption memories & Marks the biological family of children adopted from the adoption pool as family using the found family hack.

There is also a side hack included here chooseadoptiveparent designed for polyamorous Sims. This hack will allow you to choose who the second parent of the adopted child will be if the sim who made the call has more than one significant other. Sims count as significant others if the sim who made the call has married, engaged, or going steady flags with them, or is in love with them and they both live on the same lot.

28.) No LTA Permaplat – Found in the Aspiration Mods Category

In Free Time, sims go permaplat very early in their lives because they max out their LTA points. You also probably noticed that if you unset the permaplat status of a sim with maxed LTA points, they just become permaplat again a little while later. This is because the game checks every single sim hour for LTA permaplat. This hack stops that from happening, by modifying the BHAV that makes this check (0x100F in group 0x7FA2EBEF). Sims still gain LTA points at the normal rate, those LTA points just do not cause permaplat status. When you install this hack, it will not immediately affect any permaplat sims. You will have to manually unset the permaplat status or any sim you want to be non-permaplat with the lot debugger.

29.) No or reduced apthack apartment deposit – Found in the Apartment Mods Subcategory

This hack reduces the apartment deposit in Pescado’s apthack. noaptdeposit reduces the “rent unfurnished” deposit to 0 and the “rent furnished” deposit to 1 (so you can still tell which option is which). halvedaptdeposit reduces both deposits by half. Only install one version. mixedaptdeposit reduces the “rent unfurnished” deposit to 0 and the “rent furnished” deposit by half.

30.) Orphaned sim scholarship for aliens – Mod is listed under the following categories:
// Alien Mods Subcategory
// Scholarships Subcategory

Unmodified, the orphaned sim scholarship only checks to see if both parents are either dead or non-existent. Unfortunately, this doesn’t work for children of pollination technicians, who will always have one “alive” parent (the pollination technician) even if their other parent is dead and they are, for all intents and purposes, an orphan. This hack fixes that problem, allowing alien kids to get the orphaned sim scholarship too. This hack will also make Alexander Goth eligible for the orphaned sim scholarship if Mortimer dies before he goes to college. (Note: If you are using a Pleasantview template in which Bella Goth is a regular townie, Alexander will not be considered an orphan even with this hack. In that case, you will have to transfer Bella Goth to the Default family somehow.)

31.) Pass Along and Transfer Lots to All – Found in the Open For Business Category

Have you ever wanted to pass along business perks or transfer owned lots to sims who live off-lot, like for example, your sims’ children who have gone to college, but found that you can’t? This mod solves that problem. Now, you can pass along business perks and transfer lots to visitors. Note that you still can’t transfer lots to visitors via the deed to the lot, you have to use the Propose…/Transfer Lot Ownership interaction, which does require you to have some relationship with the other sim, and also requires that the other sim be playable. Similarly, other existing requirements for the pass along social have not been changed, but you can pass along perks to non-playable sims.

32.) Pneumonia fix – Found in the Health, Illness & Sickness Mods Category

Simler90 uploaded a disease mod that (among other things) fixed the problem where sims would die of colds, instead of having the cold turn into pneumonia as intended by EA. This is a stand alone mod of that, that only takes the pneumonia part.

33.) Relationship Finder and Fixer – Found in the Relationships Subcategory

This is an object for listing all of the romantic relationships in your neighborhood, and fixing broken relationships between sims who have never met. It’s designed to work with Lazy Duchess’s Story Progression Mod in mind that happen off screen. Sims may not be able to get engaged because they are marked as being engaged or married to a random townie they have never met.

The object looks like the running sim statue, is in Misc/Misc, and costs 0 Simoleons. It has three options: Choose Relationship Types, Find Relationships, and Fix Never Met Relationships.

34.) Seduce In-law – Mod is listed under the following categories:
// Extended Family Mods Category
// Relationships Subcategory

A social interaction which is exactly the same as Charm for all intents and purposes, except that it is only available to use towards your in-laws or step family who you are not blood related to (and who aren’t found family) and who you don’t already have some romantic flag towards. If you have a high enough relationship, this should give you a crush flag towards that person, and that will unlock all of the game’s other romantic interactions. This interaction can’t be performed autonomously, so no one should be romancing their in-laws without your say-so.

35.) Sellable Novels – Mod is listed under the following categories:
// Custom Businesses Subcategory
// Writing Mods Category

Sim-written novels made in Free Time can be placed on OFB shelves and marked as “for sale” on OFB business lots, creating a convenient way to distribute the novel to the rest of the hood. They cost about the same amount as a regular book sold off of a bookshelf that is marked as for sale, and restock like buy mode items (money disappears from the family funds, new novel appears on the shelf). Unfortunately, when they restock they show up standing upright on their bindings and are all called “Book Title”, however, when they are bought they have the correct title and are functionally equivalent to the original novel (including having the correct contents).

36.) Sentrybots shock coaches – Mod is listed under the following categories:
// Craftable Objects Subcategories
// University NPC’s Subcategories

The sentrybot that is created with the robotics craft table, will also shock the coach in University gameplay.

37.) Servos clean and repair showers – Found in the Servo Mods Subcategory

Servos can wander around outside while it’s raining without taking any damage, but for some reason when they go to clean or repair a shower (but not a bathtub or a showertub), they short out. This doesn’t make sense.They now can they can clean and repair showers without risk.

38.) Sibling Torment for all – Found in the Family Mods Category

The Fight…/Torment interaction introduced by Apartment Life can only be done by blood-related siblings. This mod expands it so it can be done by children and teens who are not siblings as well, to satisfy wants or just to have another interaction. There are three flavors.

39.) Smarter choice of parent for entering college cinematic – Found in the University Mods Category

Do your sims have absentee dads, or sperm donors, or just parents that they really hate? If so, you’ve probably seen someone completely inappropriate sending your teens off to college during the entering college cinematic.

Unmodded, the game always chooses the sim with the lowest neighbor ID to be in the cinematic. Since townies are spawned into the game before your born-in-game playables and thus have lower neighbor IDs, this means that it always picks the never-moved-in townie father to be in the cinematic, even though he’s probably irrelevant at this point and your teen sim has probably never even met him. If the teen is a child of a pollination technician, no parent may appear even if the other parent is alive and playable.

This hack introduces new requirements for parents for participation in the cinematic:
– The parent must be alive (the original game’s only check)
– The parent is not a vampire
– The parent must be playable (To exclude this requirement, download bettercollegeparentchoice+townies.zip instead. Pollination Technicians and other NPCs in the “Default” family are still disallowed, but regular NPCs like the maid are allowed.)
– The teen’s Lifetime Relationship with the parent must be greater than zero (also accounts for parents who have not been met). Daily relationship is not checked.

40.) Sperm Donors – Found in the Pregnancy & Fertility Mods Subcategory

This hack introduces a new social interaction which can be found under the Propose… menu called Request Sperm Donation, which will make your sims pregnant with their child, but on birth the child’s second parent will be set to a sim of your choice.

41.) Stop inviting yourself in! – Found in the Outgoing Personality Mods Subcategory

In the unmodified game, sims with 9 or 10 outgoing points, who are not there to deliver a date gift or as a normal walkby, and who are friends of a member of the household, will automatically invite themselves into your house. For some reason, the game seems to sometimes spawn household friends as visitors who will come and ring your doorbell. Unfortunately, when it does this with outgoing sims, they just walk into your house uninvited. In some cases I’ve said goodbye to these sims over and over only for them to immediately spawn again and once again enter the house without an invitation! This hack makes it so that outgoing sims will have to wait to be greeted just like everyone else. Note that this also applies to sims you intentionally invited over.

42.) Surrogate Hack – Found in the Pregnancy & Fertility Mods Subcategory

The social interact is available at 30 STR and 0 LTR and appears as “Propose… Surrogacy” and is initiated by the sim who wishes to have a child using a surrogate to the potential surrogate. This is an extensive hack you can read in the link.

43.) Use loose books rather than getting a new one off the shelf – Found in the Sloppy Personality Mods Subcategory

Sloppy sims will discard books when they are done using them, and then never touch the book again except for when you direct them to clean up. This quickly results in houses becoming carpeted with loose books that are completely ignored by sims. This is especially a problem in dorms, where unselectable sloppy dormies will quickly pile books up on every available surface. This hack doesn’t force sims to put books back on the shelf (possibly in violation of their personalities), but it makes the loose books actually useful by directing sims to use them every time you have them interact with a bookshelf. That way, the number of loose books doesn’t grow out of control, and eventually the books will be picked up by neat sims who will put them back on the bookshelf. Books that are not in either the same room as the bookshelf or the same room as the sim will not considered as options.

44.) Use Toddler Toys From Anywhere – Found in the Toddler Mods Subcategory

EA made it so that toddlers can’t use their toys if they are on a different level of the house than them, probably because toddlers can’t use stairs in the unmodified game. However, there are plenty of hacks to allow some or all toddlers to use stairs now, and this restriction also made it so that toddlers who were outside could not use toys that were inside, or vice versa, even if they could get to them without climbing stairs. For some reason, EA never put this restriction on the potty, however. This hack removes the restriction, allowing you to direct the toddler to use a toy regardless of where they happen to be. No promises about what happens if the toddler can’t climb necessary stairs.
