1.) Cancel Diary by Cyjon
If user cancels “Write In Diary” when the sim is walking, the sim will abort immediately rather than defiantly scribbling a few lines first.
2.) Cheaper Restaurant Guides by Cyjon
Significantly reduces payout for restaurant guides. The payout is a base of 40-240 simoleons plus 40 * Cuisine enthusiasm plus 20 * Cooking skill. If the total is >400 it is considered a good guide and >700 a great guide.
3.) Old Novels by Cyjon
Restores pre-FT novel writing to FreeTime and Apartment Life.
4.) Professional Blogger by Cyjon
Sims can make money from blogging on the computer. Update to extend higher earnings to sims with secondary Wealth aspiration. Sims who have maxed out enthusiasm in a hobby will earn money during the time they blog. Sims with the Wealth aspiration, primary or secondary, earn the same rate as they do for offering financial advice ($75, $125 or $200 per hour depending on Logic skill). Non-Wealth sims earn half this amount since they don’t obsess over all the CEO details of a successfully monetized blog. This money is earned only if the sim has maximum enthusiasm in the hobby. Blogging at lower enthusiasm levels earns nothing.
5.) Faster novel writing – Customizable by Gummilutt
This is a global mod that changes how long it takes to write a novel. In FT/AL/M&G the default time required to write a novel is roughly 15 hours. There are 3 different versions with also a option to customize your own.
6.) Sellable Novels by Kestrellyn
Sim-written novels made in Free Time can be placed on OFB shelves and marked as “for sale” on OFB business lots, creating a convenient way to distribute the novel to the rest of the hood. They cost about the same amount as a regular book sold off of a bookshelf that is marked as for sale, and restock like buy mode items (money disappears from the family funds, new novel appears on the shelf). Unfortunately, when they restock they show up standing upright on their bindings and are all called “Book Title”, however, when they are bought they have the correct title and are functionally equivalent to the original novel (including having the correct contents).
7.) “Write In Diary” Pen Fix by Menaceman44
With this fix placed in your Downloads folder your Sims will now write in their diaries with a pen!
8.) Diary Builds Creativity + Sims Won’t Hide Diaries by Midge The Tree
Sims won’t try and hide their diary if other sims are in the room and will build creativity as they write. If you cancel the “write in diary” interaction while the sim is walking they won’t sit down and start writing anyway
9.) Journalists Can Write Restaurant Guides by Midge The Tree
Gives the Freetime restaurant-guide-writing perk to those in the journalism career as well. Now includes NPC business reporters if you turn them playable. Also, there’s an “expect traits” version that’ll look for the avant-garde and natural cook traits like in @hexagonal-bipyramid‘s mod.
10.) Practice Writing by Midge The Tree
This mod lets your Sim build creativity skill points by writing on the computer. This contains a modified version or MogHughson’s manuscript and a global mod for computers, both adding a “practice writing” interaction to their respective object(s). Sims won’t get prompted with any novel customization dialogs, won’t finish and sell a novel, but they will gain creativity skill and fun.
11.) Re-Enabled Diary Textures by Midge The Tree
An overlay for when a Sim writes in their diary, it will no longer look like the in game Sims skill books.
12.) Become an author … without a computer by MogHughson
This mod allows you to write a novel without using a computer. Great for your historic hoods, or generally poor authors who can’t yet afford to buy a computer.
13.) No Plagiarism by Pescado
Apartment Life ll Free Time ll Bon Voyage ll Seasons ll Pets ll OFB ll Nightlife ll University
The memory and want satisfaction are now correctly assigned even if somebody else answers the publisher phone call. The typewriter will thus appear over the head of the author, not merely the person who happens to pick up the phone.
14.) Novel Progress by Pescado
Bon Voyage ll Seasons ll Pets ll OFB ll Nightlife ll University ll Base Game
Adds a progress bar when a Sim attempts to write a novel after Creativity
is maxed indicating the progress of the novel-writing.

22.) Write Novel: No Genre Dialog by Tom Duhamel
Starting with Free Time, when writing a novel on the computer, you are prompted to select a genre by selecting a cover and a set of images for making up the plot. This mod skips that dialog, and returns the feature pretty much as it was before Free Time. When you receive your book, it will have the generic cover.
