1.) Always Use Bookshelf by Cyjon
Sims will always put books away on bookshelves rather than putting them on tables.
2.) Variable Bookcases by Cyjon
Study effectiveness of bookcases is now based on the bookcase cost. When a sim is studying Cooking, Mechanical or Cleaning from a book the study rate will be based on the most expensive bookcase on the lot, not necessarily the bookcase the book was taken from. Study rates will range from 50% (for the Billy Bookcase from the IKEA stuff pack) to 160% (for the Very Mysterious Bookcase from Apartment Life).
This mod has no effect on studying using the Education career reward, which still provides 200% study rate. Nor does it affect other skills, such as Parenting or Fire Safety.
3.) Auto Secret Door by Pescado Apartment Life Only
Secret Door bookcase now auto-usable without clicking as a normal door by selectable Sims permitted by Authorized Personnel Only.
4.) 7 Skills Bookcase and Global Book mod by Gdayars
A bookcase that allows you to study all skills just like the education career reward.
5.) AL Mysterious Bookcase Name Fix by Menaceman44
In the catalogue of Apartment Life the ‘Mysterious Looking Bookcase’ is incorrectly labeled as a ‘Mysterous’ bookcase. This file simply alters the text to correctly read ‘Mysterious’.
6.) Functional Book Sculptures by Midge The Tree
This takes two objects: Stacks of Books and the Strength of Humanity Book Shelves found in Decorative: Sculptures category and makes them as functional bookshelves. Comes in four versions based on if you want sims to be able to autonomously read from them.
7.) Hacked BOOKCASE to learn more skills by Monique
This is a global hacked bookcase that allows your sims to learn other skills from a book. This hack applies only to all default bookcases.
8.) Hacked Book to learn more skills and Buyable Book by Monique
This is a global hacked book that allows your sims to learn other skills from a book.
9.) Auto Secret Door by Pescado
Secret Door bookcase now auto-usable without clicking as a normal door by Selectable Sims permitted by Authorized Personnel Only.
10.) Sensible Study Bookcase by Sim Logical
This allows autonomous studying according to the Sim’s personality and aspirations. The attractiveness of studying autonomously are at their lowest for playful pleasure-seekers and at their highest for serious knowledge Sims. The field of study that is most attractive is biased a little by the interests and personality, and there is very little attraction to study a subject the Sim is already maximised on.
Occasionally when a Sim goes to study autonomously, he will tell himself “uh-uh I am not in the mood”. This is usually if there are books already lying around, because I think he starts to think of using one of those, and they are obviously not carrying my hack.
