1.) Less Bust A Move by BoilingOil
More reasonable expectations on the Bust a Move dance interaction. This mod now:
– Enabled adult & elders to dance with teens (before teens could dance w/them but not reversed)
– Minimal Active Personality points are required. This sets the minimal number of active points a sim must have to be able to do this. Lazy sims (less than 3 active points) will NOT autonomously Bust-A-Move.
–Minimal Outgoing Personality points are required. This sets the minimal number of Outgoing points a sim must have to be able to do this. Shy sims (less than 3 outgoing points) will NOT autonomously Bust-A-Move.
–Maximum Fatness allowed. Sets how fat a sim may be and still be allowed to Bust-A-Move. Sims with their fitness in the lower one-third of the spectrum will NOT autonomously Bust-A-Move.
–Maximum Age allowed. Determines at what age sims can still autonomously do this. Adults are set to default.
2.) Less Dance On Toes by BoilingOil
Restricts the dancing on toes interactions between children and older Sims and sets requirements for them to pass in order to be able to autonomous do so.
– Will not be an option to do so if there is no stereo in room.
– If using Seasons EP or higher, Sims will won’t autonomously dance outside in Winter.
– Tuneable gender dance preferences set. The default settings allow females to autonomously dance on toes at any time, but requires males to pass at least one extra test. Minimum Music & Dance enthusiasm is set to 6, minimum Activity and Niceness are set to 5.
– Outgoing sims to dance on toes, if they make pass the minimum Outgoingness level
2.) Music & Dance Fixes by BoilingOil
- No autonomous Hula, Slap-dance or Smustle. And if these dances are performed, it must be NEAR the stereo.
- No autonomous performances at home lots.
- No endless waiting for sims to pick up their tip jar
- Tippers move on after dropping their cash.

3.) Smustle Limited by BoilingOil
Everyone can autonomously smustle as much as they like on Downtown lots and Downtownies can autonomously smustle anytime, anywhere. This is meant to compliment and can be used with Music & Dance Fixes also by Boiling Oil on this page.
4.) Buskers don’t be disappointed because you didn’t get tips by Christianlov
You are home alone! There’s no one to give you tips! Please don’t be disappointed because you didn’t get any tip. There are two variations.
1.) Christianlov_AlwaysTipJarPickUpFullAnim – This will make sims will always show “tip jar is full, I am so happy” animation even if they didn’t get any tip. Of course, if they did get tips, they will show the happy animation and also will achieve the “I want to get tips” hope and so on.
2.) Christianlov_NoTipJarPickUpEmptyAnim – This will just remove the “tip jar is empty, I feel so depressed, I feel like dead” animation. It’s like “I don’t want to see your reaction when you didn’t get tips, just get up and go back to where you were” hack.
5.) Dance Advertising Tweaks by Cyjon
Balances how attractive different dances are to sims. No more constant slap dancing. This mod balances the dances to make them equally attractive to a typical sim. Sims will prefer certain dances based on personality and skill, but not as strongly as the horribly unbalanced slap dance advertising:
– Outgoing: Dance Together
– Playful: Smustle
– Charisma: Dance Solo
– Creativity: Hula
– Body: Slap Dance
Also fixes the bug in smustle that prevented it from advertising more strongly to people with high Music & Dance enthusiasm like the other dances do.
6.) Dance Near Stereo by Cyjon
Sims will now move near a stereo before doing the smustle, hula or slap dance rather than dancing to the music in their heads.
7.) No Auto Dance Kiss by Cyjon
Sims won’t do the dance kiss interaction autonomously. Player can still direct sims to do it.
8.) No Auto Perform by Cyjon
Sims will no longer perform with instruments or join performances autonomously.
9.) No Formal Piano by Cyjon
Sims no longer change to formalwear when playing the piano or violin in The Zone.
10.) No Home Buskers by Cyjon
Sims no longer place tip jars when doing the Perform action with instruments on a residential lot. Sims also will not choose Play for Tips with the violin. Tip jars will be placed if performing on a commercial lot, dorm, frat house or secret society.
11.) No Stinky Dancing by Cyjon
Greatly reduces the ridiculous hygiene drain caused by smustle, goofy dance, slap dance and hula. Slightly reduces the energy drain as well.
12.) Practice Perform Changes by Cyjon
Sims are smarter when using musical instruments and deciding between Practice and Perform. Sims follow roughly the following logic, in order of priority:
– If another sim is Performing, other sims will join the band and Perform as well.
– Sims who need Creativity for promotions will Practice
– Sims with maxed out Creativity will Perform
– Sims who meet none of the above criteria can select either mode
13.) Music autonomy overhaul by Gummilutt
This is an overhaul of the autonomy coding for all music instruments. There are many mods to stop Sims autonomously using them, but I don’t want to stop all Sims from using them, I just want to stop some of them. It is a global mod, and comes in two versions. The mod only affect autonomous behavior, you can still direct them to use instruments if you want to.
The mod has two parts, a package containing the global mod and an object in the shape of a small card. The card costs 0 simoleons, and can be found under misc/misc.
– Stop visitors from using instruments autonomously on residential lots
– Only allow Sims with 5 or higher creativity to autonomously perform or practice on community lots
– Let Sims pledge membership to the FUMLITT. Any Sim carrying the membership card in their inventory will refrain from using instruments autonomously, regardless of where they are.
This way, only Sims that are actually good at playing will do so in public, and visitors won’t take liberties with your Sims instruments. With the card you can fine-tune this to further ban specific Sims when you feel the generic rules aren’t enough. For example, you can give the card to the parents of your violin-playing kid so that only the child uses the violin, or to the partner of your musician to keep them from occupying the instruments or harming them with their inexperienced fingers.
14.) Dance Skill Fix – Level 10 Completion by Lamare
There’s a bug/feature that sims can’t maximize hidden dance skill to level 10 by dancing to a stereo. With this fix, they can.
15.) Microphone For Visitors + Ownership And Autonomy Settings by Lamare
With this mod installed sims will perform and be shy or confident at it. Others will sit and applaud or boo or do other reactions. Small stage works really well, audience will not crowd it up, because there’s no tip jar with microphone.
16.) Dance to Wall Speakers by Lenna9
In the unmodified game, only locals from vacation destinations can dance to wall speakers, and the only way to get your Sim to dance is to join already dancing Sims, or clicking Dance…/Together on the other Sim. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t give you the option to dance solo. This mod adds a Dance… interaction to all wall speakers, so now your Sims can dance whenever they want, any kind of dance. These new interactions are not autonomous to prevent Sims from randomly dancing in shops, etc.
17.) Instrument Watch Fix by Lenna9
The Watch interaction, which appears on other Sims while playing an instrument, can no longer be performed on universal NPCs.
18.) Faster tip jar pick up by Marhis
Sims will perform autonomously (instruments or freestyle) as usual, with the tip jar, but when they came to end, money (if tipping was successful) will be processed normally – and relative wants satisfactions will work too – but the tip jar will simply vanish as soon as they reach its location.
No more animations, no moaning, just grab those simoleons and shut up.
19.) Listen To Music by Midge The Tree
Sims can already listen to music from their beds, but now they can do it while sitting/standing too. No anims, but does increase music enthusiasm and fun. Includes alternative version that incorporates Cyjon’s dance advertising tweaks.
20.) More Autonomous Dancing by Midge The Tree
Sims already can autonomously dance to live music from every instrument except the violin, they just prefer to watch. This mod makes which action they prefer to do should be dependent on how outgoing they are (outgoing sims prefer to dance, shy sims prefer to just watch).
