1.) Career Outfit Clones for Athleticwear Category – This mod can be found in the Unlocked Clothing
A cloned object of the female career reward outfits into the athletic category.
2.) Catalog Clean Up Mod- Buy Mode Rearranged – This mod can be found in the following categories:
// Buy Mode Mods Category
// Cleaner Gameplay Mods Subcategory
Reorganizes where items can be found in the buy mode catalogue. A newer version is available for download.
3.) Catalog Cleanup Mod V2 – This mod can be found in the Cleaner Gameplay Mods Subcategory
Version 1 of 2 mods (see mod listing below) of a rearranged buy mode objects. Objects found in certain categories have been moved to more fitting areas. Such as deco kitchen objects to appliances misc. Or fountains in the misc bathing category.
4.) Correlated Skins – This mod can be found in the Appearance & Genetic Mods Category
In the vanilla game, Sims have 4 skin tones (S1–S4) and 4 hair colors (black, brown, blonde, red) But these systems are completely independent, so you can get odd combinations like very dark skin + bright blonde hair or very pale skin + jet black hair. That’s why townies sometimes look… genetically chaotic.
🔗 What “correlated skins” actually means
Phaenoh discovered that skin files in the game have a hidden value that can be linked to hair color. By editing that, the mod:
👉 “Correlates” (links) specific skin tones to specific hair colors
So instead of 4 generic skins, you effectively get different versions of each skin tone per hair color up to 16 combinations (4 skins × 4 hair colors)
Correlated Skins makes skin tone depend on hair color, turning Sims 2’s random genetics into something that looks intentional and realistic.
5.) Credit Where Its Due- Apartment Life’s Stolen Clothing Conversions – This mod can be found in the Clothing Mods Subcategory
In The Sims 2: Apartment Life, a lot of the “new” outfits weren’t actually new.
👉 They were age conversions of outfits from earlier packs (especially FreeTime) or reused outfits from other packs (Nightlife, Teen Style Stuff, etc.).
Basically, EA took existing clothes → converted them to other ages → re-released them as “new content”
😒 Why that’s a problem (in-game). Even though those clothes already existed, the game treats them as if they belong to Apartment Life.
🧠 What Phaenoh’s mod actually does. The name “Credit Where It’s Due” is literal. 👉 The mod reassigns each outfit to the expansion it originally came from. Fixes their internal flags so they match their “parent” outfit. So instead of “Apartment Life outfit” you get “FreeTime outfit (correctly labeled)”. “Nightlife outfit (correctly labeled)”.
🔧 Extra technical fix (important) Phaenoh also links the converted outfits back to their original texture files.
This means
📉 Smaller file sizes
📁 Less duplicate data
🧼 Cleaner game organization
⚠️ Important caveat (this matters)
Even though the mod relabels the outfits they still require Apartment Life to exist
6.) Dr. Jekyll’s Duality Potion – This mod can be found in the Potion Mods Subcategory
Drink a potion to turn your Sims skin into a creepy-crawly effect of “Mr. Hyde.” Hyde personality not included but skin is.
7.) Elder Athleticwear AS ATHLETICWEAR! – This mod can be found in the Clothing Mods Subcategory
This mod takes clothes given to elders as everyday and reallocates them into the athletic wear category.
8.) Fairytale 9 to 5’s – This mod can be found in the Custom Careers Subcategory
At its core, this mod adds a career track where your Sim “works” their way through classic fairytale roles. Instead of something like Business career or Law Enforcement you get Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella or Rapunzel. These are structured as job levels, just like a normal career ladder.
🎭 The main gimmick: storytelling careers. What makes this mod special isn’t just the theme—it’s how it’s written.
👉 Each promotion level represents a different fairytale role, ordered by how “easy or cushy” their life is.
For example:
Lower levels = harder lives (Cinderella doing chores)
Higher levels = cushier roles (princes in castles)
So your Sim is basically climbing the “fairytale hierarchy” as a career
👩🦰👨 Two parallel career tracks
Here’s a neat twist, there are separate male and female versions of the career BUT they are mechanically identical. “Cinderella path” vs “Prince path”
📖 Chance cards = the actual story
Like normal careers, you’ll get chance cards (those pop-up decisions at work), but here 👉 They act as the “climactic moments” of each fairytale. Choices reflect story decisions, outcomes feel like alternate endings and they appear more frequently than usual
👗 Bonus content included. The download also comes with Custom fairytale outfits (not fully integrated into the job).
9.) Individual Soccer Uniform Hiders -Pick and Choose! – This mod can be found in the Clothing Mods Subcategory
Instead of having seven soccer outfits, pick and choose to hide one or all of them.
10.) ‘Let Kids Be Kids’ – Lifespan and School Vacation Mods – This mod can be found in the following categories:
// Aging Mods Subcategory
// Children Mods Subcategory
// Holiday & Celebration Mods Category
For the Lifespan mod it’s:
Babies 3 days // Toddlers 6 days // Children 12 days // Teens 12 days // Adults between 35 to 40 days // Elders between 10 to 30 days
Summer Vacation Mod:
A mod that takes the 2nd Season no matter what season you have it set to as having the season off. Some use this as summer vacation. Also on the 4th day in the 4th quadrant, Sims will have the day off as a winter holiday.
11.) Level Numbers Added to Job Titles – This mod can be found in the Job Related Mods Subcategory
With this little mod you can quickly see what level your sim is at. In addition the number shows up when you are job searching.
12.) Maxis Athleticwear as Athleticwear Game Mod -PLZ – This mod can be found in the Clothing Mods Subcategory
This mod will move (and removed, depending on which file you pick) the sweatsuits, tracksuits and men’s jumpsuits to the Athleticwear tab.
13.) Mootilda and Phae’s ‘For Sale’ Sign – This mod can be found in the Moving Mods Subcategory
This little sign is a handy thing to plant in your yard right before you leave home for good. It will automatically keep your beautifully designed kitchen and bathroom built-ins, all light fixtures, and give you proper value for it when you leave. Based off Inge’s StayThingsShrub; Programmed by Mootilda, mesh/texture and minor coding by Phaenoh, MTS.
The idea here is that when you move out of a house, you don’t take everything including the kitchen sink. Some things naturally stay, like the cabinets in your kitchen and your bathroom tub and toilet. Additionaly, overhead and wall lights would stay. Unfortunately due to how things are categorized, the floor lamps are staying too, likewise with anything left on a counter.
14.) No More Wanting Maxis Jobs – This mod can be found in the Job Related Mods Subcategory
This mod makes sure that no sim rolls a want to ‘Get a Job in _ Career’ or aspires to ‘Reach Top of __ Career’ as their LTW. This mod will be useful for anyone playing a medieval hood, or possibly victorian, or futuristic, or any other theme where the Maxis jobs are inappropiate. This is also useful for self-contained hoods that don’t allow ‘money from nowhere’ as the job’s paychecks don’t subtract from anywhere else in the hood. It’s also useful if you are just tired of being plagued by Job Wants clogging your wants bar. This mod does NOT prevent your sim from getting a job, it just prevents them from wanting one.
15.) Old Tire Swing- Swing for BaseGame, and a (BV) – This mod can be found in the Modded Object Mods Category
A modded object using the swing set converted into an old tire.
16.) Phae’s Phone Book- Look Up Neighbors’ Numbers! – This mod can be found in the Phone Mods Subcategory
A phone book where you can call anyone in the neighborhood.
Click on the phone book and ‘Look Up Number’ appears. Clicking on it will direct the active sim to walk toward the phonebook, stop in front of it, play the animation of thinking and then ‘aha’, and then pull up a dialog box populated with every sim in the hood and connected subhoods that is callable and that you do not already know. Browse through the sim headshot photos or names list to find the sim you’d like to add to the relationship panel and click on them and hit the check button. That sim will now appear in your sim’s relationship panel as 0/0 and a little thought bubble will appear over your sim’s head with that person in it. The other sim will not suddenly know you however. They didn’t partake in the activity at all, right? Once you give them a call or do anything else that changes relationship status, then your sim will be in there’s, just like normal.
17.) Phaenoh’s Great Clothing Migration Catalog Edit
Outdated.
18.) Phaenoh’s Great Clothing Migration V2 -UPDATED – This mod can be found in the Clothing Mods Subcategory
Phaenoh’s Great Clothing Migration V2 is basically a massive “clean-up and reorganization” mod for The Sims 2 clothing catalog. It doesn’t add new clothes—it fixes how the existing ones are sorted so they actually make sense.
👕 The core problem it fixes
Out of the box, The Sims 2 has a ton of badly categorized clothing.
Winter coats showing up in Everyday, Pajamas appearing in Everyday or Formal, Athletic gear mixed into regular outfits, and Duplicate outfits across multiple categories. It gets worse as you add expansions—your catalog becomes a cluttered mess.
🧥 Example changes
✔ Everyday → Athletic: Tracksuits, Jerseys and Workout Clothes
✔ Everyday → Outerwear: Coats, Jackets and Winter Gear
✔ Everyday → Formal only: Fancy dresses and Wedding Outfits
✔ Age/category fixes: Some outfits become available to more ages or restricted to the appropriate life stage.
19.) Product Design Major -Includes Inventory Items – This mod can be found in the Custom Majors Subcategory
Study a new major in University: the product designers!
Product Designers are the people who design the products you use every day, from your cell phone to your computer to your car to your toys and furniture. We also do packaging and entertainment designs. Some industrial designers go off into entertainment design and create Sims games for us.
Something extra neat with this major! After each completed quarter a new object will appear in your sim’s inventory. Sometimes its school supplies, sometimes its completed projects. You could sell them off, but your sim has ‘earned’ these objects. Take them out and outfit your ‘studio’ with them. After graduation, your sim should get a job in Architecture, Artist, Business, or Slacker. These are the closest thing we’ve got to a Designer career path.
20.) Sims Random Aspect Generators – This mod can be found in the Program Files Subcategory
👉 Think of it as a digital dice roller specifically for Sims traits.
🎲 What it actually is:
Phaenoh created a small program (with both browser and installable versions) that randomly generates key aspects of Sims and families. IE: It does in one click what would normally take tons of dice rolling.
It was originally made because manually randomizing things like family size, age, zodiac signs and aspirations was “an awful lot of dice rolling” when building neighborhoods
🧬 What kinds of things it randomizes:
1.) 👨👩👧 Family structure: How many Sims in a household and Their relationships
2.) 👤 Individual Sim traits: Age (child, teen, adult, etc.), Gender, Aspiration (Family, Romance, Knowledge, etc.) and Zodiac/personality
3.) 🧠 Additional traits (in expanded versions): in Hobbies, Skills, Interests and their Turn On’s/Turn Off’s.
🎮 How you actually use it
This is the key thing people misunderstand
👉 It does NOT create Sims in-game.
Instead, open the generator (browser or program), click to randomize, read the results and manually recreate that Sim in CAS
21.) Teen Athleticwear AS ATHLETICWEAR! – This mod can be found in the Clothing Mods Subcategory
If you don’t feel like using Phaenoh’s Great Clothing Migration then this mod just organizes teens clothing that are for everyday into the athletic category.
22.) Trick or Treat!- Halloween Costume Trunk! – This mod can be found in the Holiday & Celebration Mods Category
A costume trunk that will allow your sims to dress up as lots of different things! It includes an option to dress everyone on the lot as a particular theme, so you can easily throw parties. Also, it’s super simple to add new costumes to the trunk, so if you really really wanted to be a Flying Monkey for Halloween, if you can find or make the outfit, you can toss it into the trunk.
Costumes Available:
Animals: Cow, Bunny, Bumblebee, Llama
Beach Theme: Pirate, Mermaid, Hula Dancer
Everyday Heros: Cowboy, Firefighter, EMT, Police Officer, or Military Personal
Sci-Fi: Super hero, Evil Villain
Spooky: Skeleton, Pumpkin, Witch
23.) Trick Or Treat 2!- MORE Halloween Costumes! – This mod can be found in the Holiday & Celebration Mods Category
With this update you get costumes for the last hidden category, so make sure you go redownload the Costume Trunk or you won’t be able to access these new costumes. Each costume also requires the EP or SP that the outfit came with, but if you don’t have one of the EPs or SPs, just delete the corresponding packages
24.) Uni Major Revamp- Realistic Major to Career Linking – This mod can be found in the Custom Majors Subcategory
This is two mods, one that changes which careers need degrees, and another that does that and changes which careers the majors link to.
You have more careers now that require going to college. They are: Architecture, Business, Education, Intelligence, Law, Medicine, Natural Science, Oceanography, and Science. This leaves you with 16 careers that your CAS Adults can pick up from the paper as soon as they move in. Because so many more careers require degrees, sometimes there is nothing in the newspaper that they are qualified for. When that happens, you will see them read the paper and put it down without asking you about anything. Try the computer, it might have some options. This is not a bug, it’s a ‘feature’ – higher unemployment rate among those without college degrees and all.
As for the major’s, each major has been revamped for the careers as follows.
Art – Architecture, Artist, Culinary, Paranormal, Journalism, Criminal, Dance, Music
Biology – Education, Law Enforcement, Medicine, Natural Science, Oceanography, Science
Drama – Athletics, Drama, Entertainment, Politics, Show Business, Art, Music, Psychic
Economics – Business, Intelligence, Music, Politics, Show Business
History – Artist, Law, Military, Politics, Adventure, Criminal, Education
Literature – Adventure, Criminal, Entertainment, Music, Slacker, Show Business, Education, Journalism
Mathematics – Architecture, Criminal, Gamer, Natural Science, Science, Education, Oceanography
Philosophy – Culinary, Journalism, Paranormal, Slacker, Entertainment, Law, Music
Physics – Gamer, Medicine, Paranormal, Science, Architecture, Natural Science, Oceanography
Political Science – Intelligence, Law, Military, Politics, Show Business, Athletic, Business, Journalism
Psychology – Education, Intelligence, Law, Law Enforcement, Paranormal, Show Business, Business, Criminal, Medical
